Almost exactly 6 years after the release of "Deeper Shades EP Volume 1", Lars Behrenroth decided it's time to release more of his music. The 50th Deeper Shades Recordings release including 4 tracks with a total runtime of 35 minutes is an EP (Extended Player) in its truest sense.

The first track "Kord" is a deep and spacey groover which unleashes its full groove half way through. 
"Keep On", the 90's reminiscent track 2 on this EP is straight for the floor and a name familiar to all from Volume 1, Chezere, completes it with her vocal talents. 
"Time" is a melancholic and heady trip full of warm and deep chords and the last track "Denots" is an almost 12 minute long mid tempo journey through synthesizer and Rhodes sounds alike.  

Much like Volume 1, this 2nd edition of the Deeper Shades EP series is a small representation of Lars' taste and selection.

Lars has released on labels like Freerange Records, liebe*detail, Compost, Batti Batti and various others and remixed Beyonce, Black Coffee, Robert Owens, Q-Burns, Lady Alma, MJ Cole, Hideo Kobayashi, Lee John, Atjazz and many more artists.

“Thunderstorm" is deep atmospheric and hypnotic tech house which during peak time will suit a dark room and flashing lights. The grooving bass and subtle African percussion are functioning well in the track.
"Fah Dae Jae" has jazzy elements and feels like a mid 90s deep house track.
"The Box" is a track that takes you deeper and deeper, almost as if you were inside a dream. Perfect for late night and after-hours.
The closing track “Obvious” is a impressive melodic synthesizer tune reminiscent of a mix between mid 90s deep techno and progressive house.

Deeper Shades Recordings’ third release I Miss The Things comes from head honcho himself, Lars Behrenroth alongside his friend and longtime production partner, Germany’s Sinan Baymak.

A seductively deep tune lays the groundwork for a contemplative and melancholic, yet uplifting vocal featuring Bianca Damm. Lars Behrenroth & Sinan Baymak’s “Summer in Hamburg Mix” introduces the universally human theme with the natural sounds of the rolling ocean, allowing each layer to gradually build upon one another.

Joe DiPadova and Shea Marshall take the vocal into deeper and more soulful territory. Building energy and creating intensity that grows throughout until an organ solo provides release and yet simultaneously manages to propel the listener forward into another chord change.

Sinan Baymak’s Dub Remix is rhythmically driven and represents Hamburg's new role in the Deep (Tech) House world. With sparse vocals and ascending key pads, things keep moving forward at peak hour without looking back.


I Miss The Things continues the deep journey for Deeper Shades Recordings and Lars Behrenroth.

With his Freerange debut he’s pulled out every deep stop in the book to produce two tracks of forward thinking electronic club music which are complimented with an awesome remix by Version aka Charles Webster and Atjazz.. 


First up we have Ice On The Sun, a sublime slice of minimal Deep House that retains an understated energy whilst filters slowly open and close to build the arrangement.  A real slow burner that’ll warm things up nicely or create a nice bit of space in your set wherever you choose to drop it.
