⁃	Benefits from the ḥadīth, “Islām began as something strange, and it will return to being strange just at it began so glad tidings (of Paradise) is for the Strangers.” [Muslim]

Some points discussed during this lesson:

- The foundation of our brotherhood.
- The outcome of Tasfiyah without Tarbiyah.
- Contemplating over the day everything will be laid bare before the Lord of the Worlds.
- Having high aspirations and not being satisfied with doing the bare minimum. 
- Racing towards Tawḥīd and increasing in obedience in a society that calls to shirk and disobedience.
- The obligation of differentiating ourselves from the kuffār.
- A beautiful ḥadīth that exemplifies how brotherhood extends into the hereafter.
- Those who will dispute with their Lord on behalf of their brothers, and Allāh’s response to them.
- Recognising when our īmān is decreasing, and the effect of righteous companionship upon one’s īmān.

- Protecting our relationship with Allāh and maintaining our honour.

1. If a person took out a student loan in the UK not knowing it was ḥarām and has repented and is trying to repay it, is it permissible to go to Ḥajj while having this debt to pay?
2. What is your advice to a young Muslim struggling with pornography and fornication?
3. How do we tackle the attack on the youth with the LGBTQ+ community pushing their agenda?
4. How do we advise brothers who do not attend classes at the masjid but study Arabic and books of’Aqīdah alone at home and say that they are listening to the audio of the scholars?
5. Is it permissible for a Salafī to follow a madhhab?
6. What is your advice to the one who is apprehensive regarding marriage due to insufficient funds and stories you hear from others regarding problems in their marriage?
7. What advice do you have for a man who suffers from schizophrenia and wants to get married? 
8. How can a person cure himself if he knows that he has diseases of the heart and is struggling to remove them, and he has genuine whisperings?

[21/07/2023] Chapter: The Virtue and Excellence of ‘Alī b. Abī Ṭālib (رضى الله عنه) – Explanation of Kitāb As-Sunnah from Sunan Ibn Mājah [Lesson 102] – by Abu Khadeejah ‘Abdul-Wāhid حفظه الله.


Some points covered by Abu Khadeejah حفظه الله during this lesson:

- Ḥadīth #117.
- The reason ‘Umar and the rest of the Ṣaḥābah (رضى الله عنهم) hoped to receive the standard of war on the Day of Khaybar.
- The Prophet’s ﷺ advice to ‘Alī (رضى الله عنه) on the Day of Khaybar.
- The reason ‘Alī wore the clothes of summer in the winter and the clothes of winter in the summer.
- ‘Alī’s bravery in battle.

1. Regarding combining the prayer in summer as we do in this masjid, what should I do if I am here for Maghrib and intend to stay until ‘Ishā?
2. Which countries do you recommend hijrah to?
3. I see Muslim men amongst our youth wearing silver chains. What is the ruling regarding men wearing jewellery?
4. Question regarding Shamsud-Dīn (Shamsi) from Daar us Sunnah.
5. During the ṣalāh, do you read Sūrah al-Fātiḥah with the imām, after the imām or before the imām?
6. Who was Ṣalāḥ ad-Dīn al-Ayyūbī?
7. What is the ruling on hanging āyāt, aḥādīth, adhkār and the Names of Allāh on the walls of a house?
8. There is a brother who suffers from severe wiswās (whisperings from shayṭān) and he fears that he harms the people due to these whispers he has during the prayer. Is this a reason for him to stop coming to the masjid for the prayer?
9. Is Asrar Rashid upon shirk and kufr?
10. In relation to the former ruler of Iraq Ṣaddām Ḥusayn, what we know concerning him is he was upon kufr and communism etc. However, upon his death he took the Shahādah. What is his affair?
11. How do we best advise the elders in our family who press us to attend family functions that contain photography etc?

Explanation of the Verse in Surah An-Nisa' Containing Ten Rights

Shaykh Ḥasan al-Ṣumālī offers advice on how to patiently give daʿwah to one's parents who are concerned about one's Islamicity or desire to seek knowledge. He advises the questioner to exhibit the best of manners and patience, understanding that one's parents may have reservations due to the media or other misconceptions, and their intervention may be well-intended (out of love). He underscores the commandment in the Qurʾan to honour one's parents (in a permissible manner).
