My take on the classic from Led Zeppelin one of my favorite albums. I humbly try to cover a tune from the legendary Robert Plant  and Jimmy Page on the acoustic guitar. Well let's give it a go......A song I love to sing. One of my personal favorites.

A bit of background on the tune....."Jimmy Page and Robert Plant wrote this song, drawing inspiration from Joni Mitchell, specifically her song "California." Mitchell lived in the musically fertile but earthquake-prone Laurel Canyon area of Los Angeles; "California" finds her recalling her adventures on a trip to Europe but looking forward to a return home. In "Going To California," Plant plays the part of a guy who's looking to leave his no-good woman behind and make a fresh start in California.

Page and Plant were both enthralled by Joni Mitchell's songwriting; in "Going To California," the guy in the song is looking for a girl just like her, one with "love in her eyes and flowers in her hair" who "plays guitar and cries and sings."                Songfacts

Well, i make music with computer from 20 years and in the past i used music maker magic Cd and Packard Bell. After from 2010 i played in a local band in Lodi, ita that closed during covid...We played melodic rock and i did sound technic with keyboards....🥂
Now i enjoy to create with different apps and remaster with digital studio on line  my tracks but i don't forget to ask a few friends to do jam sessions  in a garage and play original our songs and news🤷🙋🏻‍♂️

I’ve written a few songs over the years and now that I’m retired and have all the time in the world, I’m dusting them off and recording them… For posterity if nothing else. I’m also writing some new ones. It’s a lot of fun! 

Now, a little about me… I’m a recovering alcoholic with over 36 years of continuous sobriety. I’m also a former pastor, retired now after 25 years. Five years ago, I lost the love of my life to ovarian cancer, so that also makes me a widower. And oh yes… i’ve been blind for over 36 years! in spite of all that, exciting adventures, new experiences and love continue to fill my life with joy! I have enjoyed music for as long as I can remember and cannot remember a day of not either singing or listening to music. I am self-taught when it comes to playing guitar but what I most enjoy is singing which I have been doing since around age 18. Now retired singing and playing the guitar is now just a hobby and something I do to help pass the time. Have always  loved the sound of a Martin guitar.
