Caught In The Storm

The past few weeks I've watched summer decay, piece by piece, leaving traces of its past behind. These summer left overs can be seen or perceived when looking out over the sea, or walking past fields and farmland, but today I noticed that they seem to be all gone. This day marks the last day of summer, and this is the day fall takes the wheel.  Looking out the window, with only the oncoming fall as a source of inspiration, I present to you my interpretation of this ever so confirmed season of melancholy. 

Fallward

Instead of thinking you will feel a certain way forever, learn to realize that things will never stop changing. Not unlike the sea - changing, flowing, never staying the same, your mind will adapt, adjust and recalibrate itself every second. So expose yourself to things that you are not comfortable with, because the uncomfortable is sometimes what you need to evolve.

When I wrote this piece I was contantly thinking about change. Lately, things in my life has taken a turn to the right (not the wrong) and in order to do that I had to put myself in situations my old self could never have imagined I would be in, and despite my sceptisism towards it, it actually turned out to be the best decision I have ever made. Those feelings and thoughts were flowing inside of me as I played, and that frame  of mind became the red thread, the ulterior mood of the piece.

I am excited to present my (in my opinion) best song as of yet - Ephemeral. It is mainly made up of certain structures and sequences, but there are some parts that are completely improvised. 

Ephemeral

This one is equally as intense as poor quality audio. Again(Terribly sorry), I hope that this doesn't become a habit of mine. Today, I felt a feeling I hope to never feel again. Unfortunatly, I did. I wish I could throw away the thoughts which poison my conscience with dispair; and yet I take a kind of pleasure in indulging them.

A large wall, that is what I have built. Impervious and unbendeble as of time, high and wide as far as my eyes see, and sturdy as the most expensive metal; a major obstacle.

I can not change the wall, however hard I hit it with my bloody fists, however hard I try to yell at it with my cracked-down voice, however hard I try to commune, the wall stand just as large and impenetrable.

I dare not go any other way, I do not want to continue without bringing down this wall that have tortured and isolated my conscience, as a physical representation of my mistakes; this wall.

Pot & Gold

People need an outlet to express emotion, music allows you to express emotion more than anything, it is ever changing, just like the emotions we express. thus impossible to be jaded. Music defines us as the individual, how we think and see this world we live in. The connection between music and us is surreal if anything, and the connection it can create. Without music, my piano; my emotions would never be expressed to this world. Although, my emotions are not trapped in my music, they are rather expressed; clarified. With one piece, an entire life story can be told.  Although, it is you who will process the clarification trough your conscience; interpret my words, but words made of black and white keys and of a thousand feelings, I hope that you will listen to my words; listen to what I have to say.
