About the album:
This is a soundtrack to imaginary nightime streetscapes in a world that resembles our own.
Crumbling asphalt slick with oil and grease reflects the woozy glow of late night bodegas in acrid pink, yellow and green.
Drakkar Noir is a feceless figure who inhabits this world, an alias shamelessly lifted from a sleazy and long out-of-fashion scent, a brand name derived from a mashup of mythical pretensions and hollow advertising jargon. Part Human and part digital fiction, Drakkar Noir is, like the city itself, a shapeshifter who feeds and is fed by the collective dreams and nightmares floating above the buildings and into smoke-filled skies.

‘Al’maghfira / Forgiveness’ is the artist’s portrait of a still picture, ‘a mental snapshot of my brain taken in the middle of the currently unfolding events of my life. So many questions arise, what will I become ? Am I waiting for something, why isn't it happening yet? What is it even? What the fuck…’

The album is a conversation between Prophän and the voices in his head, sometimes these voices manifest themselves as a song playing in a loop, other times a raging roar. He protests, then resigns, looking for comfort in magical protection, even though it is not working any more. Truths have unfolded, making his whole world crumble and fall apart. The rage builds up, entering the most primitive mode, by following his instincts and attacking on sight. Then, a state of peace and quiet. Serenity. He turns outwards, looking for beauty in life, looking for God, some kind of protection. Al’maghfira evokes beautiful sorcery entwined with chaotic times, conveying its melancholic emotions into grim electronics. In these industrial and tribal signatures, you will hear the nuanced elements of forgiveness.

Prophän is the solo electronic music project of Othman Cherradi, based in Paris and previously in Casablanca. Cherradi runs the experimental techno label Rhadâb and is the co-founder of Mindless, a series of live events, podcasts and radio broadcasts. He acknowledges a wide spectrum of musical inspirations, ranging from industrial and noise to the undeniable influence of local trance-inducing musical practices and customs that surrounds him in North Africa. 


[MEDS XII] On this land, Mediterano, the Mediteranos gods created the animals, led by the speaking Mediteranis who multiplied and worshipped their gods.

MM PREMIERES are meant to transcend the ordinary and immerse themselves in the sacred realm of music, beholding the unseen and embracing the new melodic tapestry even before it unveils itself to the world.

The duo based in Stockholm, Martin Thomasson and Johan Skugge, boast an extensive production background dating back to the early 2000s. Their choice of the name "Harlem" was inspired by a song with the same title by Suicide, their beloved band. The track "Lundin Oilers" embodies an industrial and minimal wave vibe with a dub infusion. 

Sonorous Underground Presents: State of Uprising III is the culmination of a movement born from the state's abuse of the Colombian people in 2021. This final instalment unites artists worldwide, using music to condemn all forms of oppression.
