Life Artist is a german progressive metal band that was present in the early 90ties. After the success of their first Demo "Faith" and tour support for Psychotic Waltz and Gypsy Kyss they had a CD release in 1992. The title of the album was "A Diary Of Inner Visions", the record label was Dream Circle Records.

Life Artist toured and played with bands like Psychotic Waltz, Mekong Delta, Sieges Even, Deathrow, Gypsy Kyss, Siren, Accu§er, Battlefield or Megace.

in 1991 Life Artist performed at the second Wacken Open Air.

The former members were: Dirk Godau, Frank Jauernick, Roger Ihmann, Dirk Eckhard, Marco Witte, Ingo Holzhauer.

In 1994, after Dirk Eckardt left the band, and Life Arttist continued as an more jazz orientated instrumental band , that released another demo tape named "Landscapes Within A Building". A few month after the release the remaining members decided to split up.

In 2011, after they recognized the Psychotic Waltz reunion, the founding members Ingo Holzhauer and Marco Witte decided to reanimate Life Artist as a studio project. The working title of the new material is "Labyrinths Of Space And Time".

A new album will be released in 2015.
