But PillowTalk isn’t just a hushed conversation before bed — it’s a genre-blurring, soul-stirring band that’s been crafting heartfelt, groove-laden music since 2011. Born one electric summer in San Francisco’s Lower Haight District, PillowTalk — comprised of Sammy Doyle, Michael Tello, Ryan Williams, and Shane Duryea — fuses classic R&B, boogie, disco, rock, and house into something uniquely their own.

Now, 2025 is set to turn up the volume. With a fresh lineup and their third full-length album on the horizon, Body of Work is poised to take over your speakers, energize your dance floors, and light up your festivals. This new LP sees the band evolve again, introducing new members Hannah Noelle (background vocals), Tate Masimore (guitar/bass), Collin Brown (keys/ synths), and the ever-magnetic Greg Paulus (trumpet). The sound? Think jackin’ gospel house meets urban funk, electronica, indie rock, and future R&B — a full-bodied musical experience that lives up to the album’s name.

Rooted in passion and fearless experimentation, PillowTalk refuses to be boxed in. Their motto, “D.A.G.” (Destroy All Genres), borrowed from a legendary underground SF DJ, says it all. With sonic influences as wide-ranging as the Talking Heads, The Police, Kraftwerk, Sam Cooke, Freddie Hubbard, Larry Heard, and Theo Parrish, their music is always surprising, always emotive, always real.

From the studio to the stage, they’ve put in the work, with releases on Bar 25 Music, Crew Love, Visionquest, Life & Death, Dirtybird, Wolf + Lamb, Circus Company, Kompakt, and D-Edge, along with remixes for icons like Groove Armada, Kasper Bjork, HVOB, Soul Clap, and more. Their collaborations read like a who’s who of the underground: DJ Tennis, D.O.P., Ruede Hagelstein, Thugfucker, Deniz Kurtel, Tone of Arc, Soul Clap... and that’s just the beginning.

DOJAS stands for grooves that come in all shades of House: Minimal House, Deep Tech, Tech House, Rominimal. He first performed in Berlin at Farbfernseher in 2015. The formation of the B2B Society collective led to performances in Paris and his hometown of Berlin, and in 2016 and 2019 he returned to France to play at the Château Perché Festival. He refined his sound with a residency at Chalet in 2018 and has made stops at various Berlin clubs including KaterBlau, Sisyphos, GoldenGate and Renate in recent years. In 2022 he also founded his new collective/label called association of unison, hosting parties at Christa Kupfer, Bulbul (formerly Farbfernseher) and Renate. Recently he also made his NYC debut at TBA Brooklyn as well as international gigs in Copenhagen & Paris.

Liebendleben geboren in Berlin, kam vor 2 Jahren das erste Mal in Gestalt von Daniel Bortz mit elektronischer Musik in Berührung. Kurze Zeit später tönten nur noch rhythimsche vier viertel Takte aus seinen Headphones und als er auf seinen Reisen die legendären Sydney Warehouseraves besuchte, lernte er dabei einige von Sydneys Underground House Djs kennen und sein Intersse für das auflegen wurde entfacht. Als er zurückkehrte kaufte er sich seine ersten Cdjs und kurze Zeit später fing er in seiner kleinen Bayrischen Sudenten Stadt an aufzulegen.
Liebend durchs Leben zu tanzen ist ein Gefühl, dass er durch seine Musik verbreiten will. Mit lockerleichten Melodien die jeden Tanzraum mit Sonne durchfluten, deren Noten durch die Luft schweben, mit tiefen treibenden Bassmeldodien, die nach mehr streben, als tanzen, sich einfach fallen zu lassen, verlieren im einem Netz von Musik.
Dabei bewegt er sich zwischen zartem Deephouse Tönen, die alsbald in funky House umschlagen können, zu immer wogenderen Wellen, die jeden im Club mitnehmen und umreißen auf eine Reise ohne festes Ziel.
