Camping Vibes Réunion 

Wir sind zurück. Nach gut einem Jahr macht die Reisegruppe Chaos seinem Stamm Campingplatz wieder einmal seine Aufwartung. Bereits beim betreten der asphaltierten Zufahrt ist alles wie damals. Der Geruch von frittierten Pommfritt, Reinigungsmitteln und Kondenswasser liegt omnipräsent in der Luft wie der Duft eines schweren & süßlichen Parfüms. Auf dem befestigten Weg, durch das Areal, herrscht reges Getümmel. Kleine Kinder laufen lachend und schreiend durcheinander, fuchteln mit Spielzeugwaffen herum oder fahren auf schnittigen Gokarts um die Wette. Jedes Mal aufs Neue erscheint mir dieses Szenario ein bisschen surreal. Denn ist soweit von meiner und der Lebensrealität der anderen entfernt wie Ebe von der Flut. Während die meisten der Gäste hier ihren Familienurlaub verbringen, sind wir hier um abzuschalten und den Alltag für ein paar Tage hinter uns zu lassen. Um dieses Ziel zu realisieren werden unterstützend Sportzigaretten gequarzt, Bierchen gezischt und Stickstoff leidenschaftlich aus Luftballons inhaliert. Es wird ausgelassen getanzt, die Hüften in Schwung gebracht und das Zahnpasta Lächeln zaubert sich wie von selbst auf die glücklichen Gesichter. 
Für ein Wochenende leben wir in einer Parallelwelt, innerhalb eines Refugiums der Entspannung und Erholung. Gemeinsam mit jung und alt genießen alle Anwesenden ihre Zeit. 

Nugi serviert uns heute den perfekten Soundtrack für ein Wochenende am See. Gesetzte Downtempo Tracks laufen säuselnd ineinander über, wie Vogelchöre am morgen eines ihres unzähligen Lieder anstimmen. Die positive Stimmung des Podcasts überträgt sich wie von selbst auf seine Hörerschaft. Wir sagen Dankeschön und wünschen Euch allen viel Spaß beim hören und eine angenehme Zeit <3

The Ewoks' village in "Return of the Jedi". It's a place I've always dreamed of visiting, with those cosy tree houses you'd love to settle your nest. Walking through the forest, from footbridge to footbridge. Not just one tree house, but an entire village - what a dream!

☕️ What do you normally eat for breakfast and on what time?
The only routine would be a coffee. For the rest, there are no rules. It depends on the day mood.

Have you ever noticed how babies dance to all kinds of music? 
This confirms the theory that Music is a universal and timeless language that humans are extremely sensitive to.
With this "end-of-year" mixtape, I lay myself bare and introduce you the depths of what drives me, what has healed me, the imperishable memories that have stayed with me, some of them since childhood.
For some years I have been compiling hours of music that is particularly dear to me; firstly for the pleasure of it but also with the aim of sharing these delicacies with you, a way to tell you where I come from, what feeds and inspires me.
Very delighted to share this musical intimacy with you. Hope you'll enjoy the journey.  
It's all about Love, something we sorely need these days.

Here it is. 
I arrived to Garbicz late on Thursday having lost my luggage (but not my music!) and quickly got ready to play a few hours later. By 4am I had found the Hedoné dome (Sagrada Feminina) and my heart started racing knowing full well I was back at Garbicz and about to gift all these dancing barefoot souls a sunrise full of love and flavor. 

Took me a bit to get going, adjusting to the energy on the dance floor but once that sunrise came, cumbia oozed out and your love and dancing kept me going a little bit more <3 

Thank you @hedone-berlin for building this beautiful dome full of love and laughs. Forever thankful for this opportunity at a place that for 5 years now has been my favorite musical gathering far and away.

LA FEMME MYSTIFIÉE:
what it means to be a woman for you?

SAHRA BASS:
Being a woman means claiming ownership over my body and my identity, advocating for equal rights for everyone. The struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist but to the collective effort of all who care about human rights.Womanhood is not simply a set of body parts and functions but so much more complex. A lot of the times it means being vulnerable and strong at the same time and it implies empowerment of both myself and other women. It also means the empowerment of breaking free and of refusing to be subject to common stereotypes.

While letting myself in for the “task” to create a mix for a female-only podcast series and contemplating on how this piece of music could possibly carry my feelings to the outside, I felt a strong desire of not starting off merely with my soft and meek, some may say “feminine”, side but to deliver the sense of harshness and ruggedness that I perceived in that very moment. To show that part of me that doesn’t care to be slick. To break expectations and musical anticipations of me as a woman and of me as a female artist. This to me felt inevitable in order to eventually find peace in the more fragile, subtle harmonic comfort zone I am often to be found in - because as a woman I am willing to unite either, vulnerability AND resilience. Because “often our meekness is misconceived as weakness (quote taken from my spoken word intro “What’s in a Woman” by Izzy Eze & Thembe Mvula).
