New guest on Azdin's “Take Off” show: DCLVIII OFC!

Anthony Godin, previously known by his alias ‘The White Shadow (FR),’ is a veteran of music production for over two decades, with over 25 years' experience in mixing. His artistic journey began in the world of melodic techno, but quickly evolved into deeper sounds and resulted in the project ‘The White Shadow (FR).’ Under this name, he has been signed to renowned labels such as Suara, Still Von Talent, Kattermukke, and Einmusika, attracting the attention of renowned DJs such as Solomon, Maceo Plex, and Oliver Huntemann. Over the course of his career, Anthony has explored different musical equipment, moving from the MPC2000, Korg mic, Nord Lead 2, and Yamaha 01V to a more minimalist approach with a Moog Sub37, TD-3, Roland TR-8S, and immersive live performances.

However, he decided to put an end to “The White Shadow (FR)” project and created the DCLVIII OFC project, which embodies a more techno approach, with Detroit influences and a touch of Garnier, adding a subtle progression and a melodic touch. They distinguish themselves by not limiting themselves to any one style in vogue at the time, placing emotions at the heart of their music. The tracks on Metrohm and Brique Rouge, written in collaboration with David Duriez, bear witness to this. His musical approach favours labels that share his passion and vision.

DCLVIII OFC embodies the philosophy that ‘Techno is life!’ and continues to push the boundaries of electronic music, with an unwavering passion for the art of sound. So it was only natural that Azdin asked him to contribute once again to “Take off” on lineoutradio.com.

DCLVIII OFC incarne la philosophie selon laquelle "Techno is life!" et continue de repousser les limites de la musique électronique, avec une passion inébranlable pour l'art sonore. C'est donc très logiquement qu'Azdin lui a demandé de contribuer une nouvelle fois à "Take off" sur lineoutradio.com.

At first beaucoup d'influences sonores dès mon plus jeune age
Soul, Funk, Hip-Hop & Breakdance...mais aussi pas mal de New-Wave, d'Indus et de Rock.
Mais rien ne laissait présager la révolution musicale qui allait arrivé à l'aube de mes 15 ans !!!

Je me suis pris une grosse claque dans la gueule en 1986!!!
Zappant sur les ondes radiophonique je tomba sur un morceau qui allait bouleversé ma vie à tout jamais: "love can't turn around" de Farley Jackmaster Funk... 
Un son jamais entendu auparavant, un son qui semblait venir d'une autre planète, une autre dimension!!!
Une semaine plus tard j'allais à la fnac du coin à la quète de ce précieux vinyle et là je mis la main sur ce fameux skeud sorti sur le label Dj International rec.
La suite s'enchainera très vite: 1ère compile sorti sur ce mème label: "The House Music Of Chicago"...
Et l'onde de choc continuera: "jack your body" de Steve Silk Hurley; "move your body" de Marshall Jefferson; "mystery of love" de Fingers Inc.; "shadows of your love" de J M Silk; etc...etc
A l'époque pas d'internet et les médias passaient sous silence ce qu'ils considéraient déjà comme un simple effet de mode, donc trouvé des vinyles relevait d'un vrai parcours du combattant. Parcours du combattant qui allait vite se revèler ètre une véritable passion...
Aujourd'hui encore mon passe temps favori est de trainer des journées entières dans les shops de skeuds à m'en foutre pleins les oreilles et fouiller encore et encore à la recherche des vinyles qui manqueraient à ma collection!!!
