Much of modern life is filled with interactions through digital interfaces which simulate the antiquated face-to-face interactions of yesteryear, yet, in reality, they constitute a world of smoke and mirrors.

Liquid Modern's reimagining of @joewalshofficial 's "A Life of Illusion" features electronic instruments, such as synthesizers and drum machines, rather than the rock band instrumentation used in the original version. The electronic production lends a more modern and polished sound to the song, while the message and melody remain unchanged.

This version of the classic track includes some elements of synthwave intertwined with ambient soundscapes which create a dreamy, hypnotic atmosphere in the midst of the upbeat rhythm section.

Kojette's naturally delicate vocals are processed in a way that makes the voice seem like it is reaching out from the depths of an electronic mainframe in an attempt to help you break free of this technicolor hallucination.

Overall, their version of "A Life of Illusion" brings Liquid Modern's genre-bending style and a retro-modern energy to the classic rock song!

Summer is near and it's time for some synthwave. Featuring solos borrowed & updated from the October & Dagspaztik singles set upon lush, warm, analog synth textures. If you like the rhythm guitar tone, check out Goodnight Song by Tears For Fears and you'll find some familiarity. I've also been listening to a lot of TimeCop 1983, FM84, Mitch Murder and The Midnight lately.

Liquid Modern seeks to imbue the nostalgia of the past with the feelings of remorse and sadness that should accompany them. The raw, airy vocals and smooth electronic sounds created by this husband and wife duo of Lord Kojak and Kojette seek to bring emotion into soulless pop tunes. 



Whether it is their reimagining of classic songs or the forward thinking production of their originals, Liquid Modern will not be complacent in one genre as there is a world of musical styles to explore!

Liquid Modern has recently concentrated on creating downtempo electronic covers of 90s pop tunes and stripping away the facades of pop sensibilities to create a more accurate and sustainable view of the past.  A network of influences blend effortlessly through each and every note.
