💛 Song meaning: This song is about hope.
It was written after Covid, when someone had to go back home as the pandemic was spreading.
With the warm afterglow of summer “fire” became the dream to see them again and feel that connection, that love once again.

This is a poem I turned into a song. Written in 2022. :)

In broken rhyme
The words I left 
Hanging wishes
Under breath
For you to pine
To long til’ death
Hearts intwined
The gamut – lest

I’m through holding out hope
For dreams part of me 
Already let go 
So I march in time 
for a different kind of host
And I rid my mind
Of all the ghosts

'Twas I alone
In ruddy garb
Entranced by gambling
gone too far
A stone across
the tepid swamp 
Remised to sink 
beneath the squalls 

I’m through holding out hope
For dreams part of me 
Already let go

For nights which warned 
Of guilt foretold
In haste to march on
as one in soul

Reworked one of my OG songs from 2021! I hope the words work like a spell and come true.

on my floor.

Angled blinds in the afternoon.
Hoop earrings, blue perfume.
She waves goodbye,

From the bridge

I had to keep on walking, 
there was nothing left to do.
I ran out of options.
I had no excuse.

Now I cross bridges on my own. 
I make pathways just to roam.
I’ve been building up resistance; 
I never feel alone.
One of these days,
