A true example of how impeccable technique can be paired with remarkable sensitivity. Great dynamics and virtuoso playing!

In my early years I spent a lot of time in the country - hours spent cycling with friends through deserted country lanes, helping and riding mother's horses and later earning my pocket money shifting bales of hay and straw in the summer. Plenty of time to contemplate the future. These are some of the thoughts that this melody evokes for me.

The melodic theme used here is that of the song “Le temps des cerises” written around 1866-1868 by Jean-Baptiste Clément (words) and Antoine Renard (music) , and which was associated with the bloody events of “La Commune de Paris” in 1871.This song was successfully covered and recorded in 1955 by Yves Montand.
Here the form of this piece is deliberately very much inspired by Franz Schubert’s Impromptu No. 3, in G flat major D899, op. 90.

The party arrive at Luca where the Besaid Aurochs get for their last match with Wakka as team captain before he becomes a full time Guardian. Tidus meets Auron who he knows from his hometown of Zanarkand, leading to bittersweet memories shown in cutscenes.  Disaster strikes as Yuna goes missing, kidnapped by the Al Bhed Psychs. Wakka and the Aurochs secure victory against the Luca Goers, Winning the championship when the stadium is suddenly overcome with fiends. Maester Seymour saves the day by summoning the dark Aeon Anima. The gang continue to the Mi'ihen highroad
