Drake Lawrence (AKA d.lawrence, Benn Horne) is as an artist, producer, composer, and DJ originally from Los Angeles, CA but finds his new home in Portland, OR.
 
As Founder of Pretty Ready To Dance Records, he has released a collection of dub-infused techno/ambient/downtempo tracks since 2019, via Crossfade Sounds, Calm Coastlines, SubSensory, and Whiteline Music. Collaborating with a wide range of artists such as, FNDO and Saw Tooth Wave, he has been able to remix tracks across international borders and genres.
 
With his inspiration deriving from classic house, acid, techno, and ambient, d. takes dancers on a journey through the cosmos. With a subtle touch, he is able to seamlessly blend genres in order to create something entirely new and fresh.

Local Heroes PDX is a collective of local house music djs based in Portland, OR committed to share our passion for all genres of house music, deep house music and techno music; including but not limited to tech house music, deep house music, vocal house music, minimal and deep techno. Our talent and dis are diverse, from Portland, focused on house music and changes with every event we organize in Portland.

Since the launch in 2018, Local Heroes PDX has delivered multiple house and deep house events in Portland and established itself as an institution for Portland's House Music scene. House Music in Portland and on the west coast is experiencing a revival and Local Heroes PDX aims to accelerate and support that house music movement in Portland.
