simon d. is a canadian music producer from Montréal, Canada. His production style is characterized by intricate drum programming over re-sequenced soul samples and layered keyboard instrumentation. Dwelling between mid 90's boombap, warm neo-soul chords and minimalistic loungy vibes, simon d.'s signature is delicate, both humble and raw. 

His first instrumental compilations were released under the name élokan, his pseudonym when occasionally jaunting into the local rap and spoken word scene, including "Zipped.Up" in 2009 and "This, that and the third" in 2010. élokan's latest and greatest album "Soul sale", was released on boxing day 2011.

Quietly making his way into the booming Montréal beatbuilder scene, simon d. aka élokan gained exposure in 2012 and was invited to perform at Artbeat Montreal events alongside fellow up and coming beatmakers as well as established piu piu representers.

With his new EP titled “Superfluose”, simon d. bless us with his most progressive material to date, where sampling is held to a minimum, leaving space for organic synthesizer grooves, blending cosmic and soulful vibes with banging drums sounds.
