Here's another in the series of semi-live recordings with Nat Daniels. Nat took an ancient recording I did back in the 80's and salvaged it, embellished it into something that gave me a really pleasant surprise. The song delivers a simple message about overlooking the most important aspects of our time in this life, often too willing to fall into step with what everyone else seems to be doing. Don't lose sight of the true relationships, the true friends and the simple, real connections. My thanks to Nat for her usual abilities to transform anything into a special experience.

Chapter One

***Deception*** 
~ In Lingo ~  

Geo Zeke lived in a small village, He was content there, with a very simple life.  

But there came a day when an old friend returned to the village from the big city, and asked Geo how He could live like that?
 In such poverty, and blandness, when the whole exciting world was out there waiting for Him?  Geo was told stories of money, romance, fame, power, and immeasurable joys beyond His wildest dreams.  

Geo had never thought about those things… 
He never thought that He was lacking anything before… 
That became a seed that was planted deeply into the fertile soil of Geo’s mind. 

Maybe He /was/ missing out on something.
Maybe He /was/ living a miserable life of poverty. 
Maybe He /was/ accepting simplicity because He knew nothing better.
 Maybe there /was/ a bigger future out there for Him.

  Geo began to question Himself, His life, and His relationships.  
He began feeling a growing unrest in His own skin.  He started looking at other people on social media. Seeing that they all appeared incredibly happy and successful living the life that He was told about.
 Geo wondered if there was something wrong with Him..
 Who was He supposed to be? 
What was He supposed to do to be worthy of all those great things? 
How did everyone know what they were doing but Him?

  He began to feel worthless - like a fool and a failure for accepting such a small and insignificant life.
 In turn, He began to crave the recognition of these people who were living that dream-life. 
He wanted to live it too.  To be admired by many, to be happy, respected, powerful and valued - just like they were. 
He told Himself “People don’t like simple, people don’t like poor, or small, or ordinary, people don’t like me like this - I need to be what people like to see - complex, rich, an extraordinary giant of skill, charm, and influence.”

Geo turned away from the simple things and people that were once the mighty trees that nourished Him from a young sapling, and now considered them nothing but old wood.  

He scrounged up His meager savings and His few belongings, and moved to the big city.

  He left His Home and uprooted, convinced that He was lacking.  

He buried the softness and simplicity of His heart - a sensitive heart was only a liability on this path.  He put all of His energy and attention into achieving validation from the world. To prove Himself to the world. And to find some place where He could belong in it happily.  
‘Who do I have to be to deserve those things?’
  If He could be /that/ person, then He would be worthy of that dream-life.
 He did not believe that He was good enough to be admired by those people as Geo, so He created a new Him.. 
He created a ‘better’ Him.

TL;DR  

Geo created.. a monster.

and sew it all together to be sure I've found my niche.
And it's a lonely quest with it's fair share of consequence, 
how did I let this beast put all my leisures on a leash?
The buzz around the hive is "IT'S ALIVE!"
