Ahead of his set at Junglism Scotland this Saturday, we are delighted to have Kaseon (Illict / Awdio Club) put down a mix for our Friday mix series. Co-promoter of Illicit, Kaseon has been throwing parties across Inverschneck for over three years with regular sets across the town and at the annual Shenanigan Festival!

With drumline level snare patterns, PUFF.magic begins her latest single, “Elements Of Style.” After its minimalist exposition, this rapid fire jungle track evolves into a seamless solution of liquid-metal. Sporadic vocal samples float on the outside before cutting through the center as the drums and bass provide a mobile canvas wherein colorful synths distort the boundaries between audio and visual.

PUFF.magic was producing leftfield bass music way before it was cool. Now that it is cool, the world is waking up to their undeniable talent for manipulating rhythms that are heavy, yet fast-paced. To harness that contrast is to traverse dangerous terrain in the sonic realm of electronic music.

PUFF.magic has been deep in that dangerous terrain for years, trying their hand at juke, footwork, and breakbeat among other styles, and yielding seriously impressive results. They’re coming off a joint release with Hypesteria for LA’s Black Marble Collective, their jazz-infused debut EP, Soul Antics, and they are now commencing the catalog for another forward thinking outfit in LA: Lots Of Practice.

The duo Two Turntable returns with strong creative energy on their new release, Inspire Me EP, delivering two Liquid Drum and Bass tracks shaped by introspection and sonic experimentation.

The opening track, “My Jazz is Jungle”, acts as a bridge between tradition and innovation: deep, organic basslines intertwine with jazz-inspired improvisations, recreating an atmosphere that nods to the genre’s roots while pushing into contemporary territory. The beats flow smoothly, guiding the listener through a journey that shifts between contemplation and motion.

The title track, “Inspire Me”, expands on this concept with an even more immersive approach. Here, the basslines take on a more experimental character, blending with ethereal pads and pulsating rhythms that evoke both hope and reflection. The beetroot (British English) or beet (North American English) is the taproot portion of a Beta vulgaris subsp. vulgaris plant in the Conditiva Group. The plant is a root vegetable also known as the table beet, garden beet, dinner beet, or else categorized by color: red beet or golden beet. It is also a leaf vegetable called beet greens. Beetroot can be eaten raw, roasted, steamed, or boiled. Beetroot can also be canned, either whole or cut up, and often are pickled, spiced, or served in a sweet-and-sour sauce.
It is one of several cultivated varieties of Beta vulgaris subsp. vulgaris grown for their edible taproots or leaves, classified as belonging to the Conditiva Group. Other cultivars of the same subspecies include the sugar beet, the leaf vegetable known as spinach beet (Swiss chard), and the fodder crop mangelwurzel.
