Colombia is going through one of the harshest economical and political crises in the last 30 years. COVID, state violence and increasing poverty have unleashed social protests with millions of citizens disapproving of President Duque's tax reform. Although held back, protests continued and Colombia's deep wounds have yet again resurfaced as inequality, racism and violence have been shown to be the system's true colors. The government's response to the social movement has been that of extreme brutality; massacres, rapings and human rights violations have been daily bread. Colombia and all the people who've been fighting for their rights need our help.

“ALL EYES ‘N' COLOMBIA’’, a VA conformed by 22 tracks and 28 artists, aims to be a humble but meaningful part of that help; an astonishing compilation fully merged into delightful electro, ghettotech, acid, breaks, idm bombs all gathered, mastered and served to the table in less than two weeks. All in order to raise the most funds possible during these hard days of fight and to spread the word in our music and artistic international community of what’s happening here in Colombia. 100% of the earnings will go to various press, health care, food and human rights local organizations. We highly encourage u all, dear BogoLovers, to grab a copy of this must have masterpiece VA and at the same time stand out against violence, oppression, corruption and death in support of our colombian brothers in fight. With drumline level snare patterns, PUFF.magic begins her latest single, “Elements Of Style.” After its minimalist exposition, this rapid fire jungle track evolves into a seamless solution of liquid-metal. Sporadic vocal samples float on the outside before cutting through the center as the drums and bass provide a mobile canvas wherein colorful synths distort the boundaries between audio and visual.

PUFF.magic was producing leftfield bass music way before it was cool. Now that it is cool, the world is waking up to their undeniable talent for manipulating rhythms that are heavy, yet fast-paced. To harness that contrast is to traverse dangerous terrain in the sonic realm of electronic music.

PUFF.magic has been deep in that dangerous terrain for years, trying their hand at juke, footwork, and breakbeat among other styles, and yielding seriously impressive results. They’re coming off a joint release with Hypesteria for LA’s Black Marble Collective, their jazz-infused debut EP, Soul Antics, and they are now commencing the catalog for another forward thinking outfit in LA: Lots Of Practice.

Elements of Style - PUFF.magic

We’ve scoured the globe and unearthed four more golden nuggets for part 2 in our Nuggets series and we’re ecstatic to be able to finally share them with you.

pyxis and Iris have joined forces and created something very special with ‘Imaginary’. Otherworldly sci-fi twinkles, twisting, contorting bass notes and halftime wood block snares lure us into their world of magic and wonder. Pure alchemy when atoms collide.

‘Rain Tribe’ has our Sri Lankan connect Iyre collaboring with stateside artist Alpha Rhythm for a far more earthly affair. Distance be damned, these two have worked in perfect sync to conjure something truly spiritual. This one has proper mediation vibes.

‘Heartbeat’ finds Budapest’s Higher (than) gliding and soaring with her strings and bass, transporting us above the clouds, where the world is at peace. A magical ride.

Last up is a remix of pyxis’ Innerspace, courtesy of Kublai. The battle of light and dark remains a continuing theme in this version. The ingredients are the same but for a pinch of jungle. King Tubby once proclaimed “every object casts a shadow. It is there you find Dub” and that is the philosophy of what makes a remix that Kublai has applied here to create a dream like version of his own.
