From the composer: I can see a cottage along the river, just by the bridge, during a foggy sunrise, as the family inside awakens for another day of the small dramas and quiet beauty that make life worth living. I wrote this piece with that kind of scene in mind, and I hope someone might consider it for the opening credits of a television series.

From the composer: "Don’t Fight the Apple" is about the pursuit of knowledge that isn’t easy to accept at first, but that ultimately brings peace. I wanted the music to feel a little uncomfortable yet intriguing, with the promise of clarity somewhere on the other side. I think of the tedious process of assembling a mandala, which I understand to symbolize the universe and the path to wisdom. I once watched monks create one, grain by grain. It required incredible patience. Then when it was complete, they let it go.
