With the release of 'Seelie', CLANN welcomes us back to the world of KIN Fables - a grand scale multimedia project captained by director/producer Seb McKinnon, encompassing original music and stunning short films. This is a visual/musical project, one as as melancholic as it is epic, as haunting as it is beautiful, with plans to culminate into a feature film (currently in late stages of development). The word 'clann' comes from Old Irish, meaning family - indeed, the family of collaborators responsible for this odyssey returns with the signature ethereal vocals of Charlotte Oleena, as though singing words from an unknown or long forgotten language, and heart-wringing string performances by violinist Chloe Picard. With Seelie, they have refined their sound, while not losing touch with their cinematic arrangements, airy vocals, and trip hop/downtempo beats.

Celebrating a limited edition vinyl for their newest single ‘Arise’, CLANN release the instrumental version, highlighting the gorgeous string arrangement by Montreal’s Orchestre FILMharmonique. With the vocals stripped away an angelic choir and euphoric strings fill the space, creating a version of ‘Arise’ that is equal parts epic and mesmerizing. Light piano strums and muffled percussion give way to a crescendo unleashing the power of the full orchestra, climaxing in a fit of unbridled emotion.

From the composer: "The Valley" was inspired by the awe-inspiring landscapes of my home in the Hudson Valley. This piece captures the quiet majesty of nature and the overwhelming sense of spirit found in towering mountains and sweeping vistas. With music that seems to swell with each breath, it evokes a profound connection to the land, blending wonder, reverence, and a distinctly Americana spirit.

From the composer: "Humble Bird" is a piece I composed while traveling through Alaska, inspired by the image of a small bird surrounded by the vast, awe-inspiring landscape. It captures the feeling of being one small part of an enormous natural world.

From the composer: Imagined for use in the opening credits of a scripted series, "Jupiter" reflects the feeling of longing for a home you’ve never been to yet deeply miss. It captures the hope and mystery of a spiritual homecoming, using Jupiter as a metaphor for the Promised Land or Elysium—a place imagined with wonder, hope, and a sense of belonging.

From the composer: I wrote "Icarus" to intertwine the ominous and heroic, reflecting on humanity's hubris in overlooking the sun’s power, the dangers of pollution, and the escalating impact of global warming.

From the composer: I can see a cottage along the river, just by the bridge, during a foggy sunrise, as the family inside awakens for another day of the small dramas and quiet beauty that make life worth living. I wrote this piece with that kind of scene in mind, and I hope someone might consider it for the opening credits of a television series.

From the composer: "Don’t Fight the Apple" is about the pursuit of knowledge that isn’t easy to accept at first, but that ultimately brings peace. I wanted the music to feel a little uncomfortable yet intriguing, with the promise of clarity somewhere on the other side. I think of the tedious process of assembling a mandala, which I understand to symbolize the universe and the path to wisdom. I once watched monks create one, grain by grain. It required incredible patience. Then when it was complete, they let it go.
