"Staying familiar on 140bpm territory we at Simply Deep would like to welcome Leeds based artist ‘Mungk’ to the family. Mungk has quickly become a legend in the scene for his colourful and dynamic productions which never fail to impress, this palette of productions has seen him release Vinyl and Digital music on very respectable labels: Duploc, Frozen Plates, Soil and Sound & Encrypted Audio to name a few.

Mungk is no stranger to Simply Deep either, ‘Totem’ saw Imanzi and Mungk team up for the track ‘Kapa Haka’ whilst January saw the drop of his track ‘Masquerade’. We are glad to have him back on the roster for his debut EP ‘Tarot’, if that wasn’t exciting enough, we have three talented artists on remix duties: Hypho, Hunter Reed & Khromi.

The entire release oozes with class alongside disciplined production techniques, the melodies in all three original productions are captivating and yet still top contenders for Sound System Music with the rumbling low-end basslines – a perfect spectrum of sound. 

At Simply Deep we rarely find the intro compositions as much of a joy as the ‘drop’ itself, this EP is truly a mark of craftsmanship from Mungk.

The icing on this delicious cake is the remix work from Hypho, Hunter Reed and Khromi, all respectably adding their own touch to the productions whilst keeping true to the original vision from Mungk. This is without a doubt one of our proudest releases to date, we hope everyone enjoys it as much as we do."
