Luminem’s third release Mind Stroll is quite a departure from her first two releases. With a more sombre undertone, Mind Stroll is an exploration through the recesses of one’s mind.

The left hand plays a steady ostinato throughout, giving some sense of stability, while the right hand moves from melancholic to a more urgent, slightly unsettling expression.

Featuring Phoebe Dubar on violas which bring an added depth of emotion, there is an unresolved tension that carries throughout the piece.

Mind Stroll is the third single from Luminem's debut EP Back Home which released mid 2021.

Luminem plays from the heart to bring more light, love and harmony into the world. Inspired by composers like Erik Satie and Ludovico Einaudi, Luminem creates soundscapes to evoke feeling and reflection in the listener. 

Following on from her first four releases Back Home, Climbing, Mind Stroll and Seaside Saunter, which all reached the top 10 on Submithub’s Classical/Jazz popular chart, Luminem released her debut EP, Back Home in 2021.

The first single of her upcoming album Birth of Elements released on 17 Feb 2023. This piano only piece was inspired by the first elements that were created in the Big Bang from plasma and went on to birth stars and the universe. 

Luminem then shared this piece of piano music with a diverse range of 7 artists and asked them to do their own rework of the piece, taking inspiration from the element they most resonated with. The idea being for them to show how one base element (i.e. piano melody) can be completely transformed into a new universe (i.e. piece of music) through the lens of a different artist. Drawing a parallel between the creation of the universe and the creation of music. 

A new rework will be released every two weeks, with the full album coming out 26 May.
