“THEY RETURNED EVERY DAY AT THE SAME TIME TO THE SAME PLACE” IS A PROPOSAL FOR A DANCE THAT HOWEVER CAPTURED BY INTERNET BASED REPRESENTATION SEEKS TO BE RIGOROUS WITH DANCE’ INHERENT ABSTRACTION – ITS ABILITY TO JUST COMMUNICATE – AS WELL AS ITS PROPENSITIES BEYOND THE OCULAR. IT DOES SO BY AN INVITATION TO PARTAKE IN TWO PARALLEL FORMS OF ACCUMULATION THAT FURTHER ACTIVATES TWO MODALITIES OF PERFORMATIVITY. OVER 26 DAYS – FROM 5TH TO 30TH MARCH 2021 – A SERIES OF EQUALLY MANY DANCES WILL UNFOLD NEXT TO THE ACCUMULATION OF AN ABÉCÉDAIRE, REFLECTING ON HOW DANCE COMMUNICATES AND THEREFORE BECOMES A PLACE FOR THE POSSIBILITY OF AIMLESS CONTEMPLATION.

THIS PROPOSAL FORMS A CONVIVIALITY WITH THE WORK OF VISUAL ARTIST IAN WILSON, AS WELL AS WITH THE WELL-KNOWN ABÉCÉDAIRE, THAT CLAIRE PARNET CONDUCTED WITH GILLES DELEUZE IN THE 80S. ALTHOUGH SHARING ECOLOGIES THERE IS ALSO A TENSION CREATED IN RESPECT OF THE PERFORMATIVITIES ACTIVATED. WHEN WILSON’S WORK AMONG OTHER THINGS CAN BE SEEN AS A CRITIQUE OF INSTITUTIONS, THIS PROJECT ADDRESSES PRESENCE, THE PROMINENCE OF THE OCULAR AND FORMS OF SPECTATORSHIP. SIMILARLY, WHEN PARNET’S ABÉCÉDAIRE FORMS AN INTIMACY WITH DELEUZE AS A PERSON THROUGH HIS PHILOSOPHICAL LANDSCAPE, THIS PROPOSAL CONSISTS OF A SERIES OF REFLECTIONS WHERE DANCE OPERATES AS A DEPARTURE POINT.

The Sound of Now - Live in Amsterdam

Music is the instrument. The world is the stage. Life is our score.
Sound of now strives on delivering in the present, an instant perspective of their music to the audience, through infusing a strong dosage of improvisa- tion. Gentle rhythms, bass clarinet lines, viola textures, supported by sparse guitar chords, all embellished with electronica and a touch of ancient eastern folklore.
The two Romanian-Amsterdam based musicians, skilled both in poly-instrumental playing as well as computer live electronica, have worked together for more than 15 years. A cinematic panorama comes from a thorough experience in soundtrack composition for an array of internationally acclaimed films.

Revolutia

This track is a result of a collaboration between Yudit v/d Made, Iulia Maracine, Patricia Vane, Robert Dahlqvist and Andrie v/d Kuit in May, 2017, Den Haag (ND). 

It was created during the collective's work on "Planet i.", a project that researched, from a phenomenological and somatic perspective, topics such as recovery processes from amnesia stages, muscle memory, and cognitive re-development.

This track was originally used as a soundwalk for participants to listen to whilst walking through the city and forests of Den Haag.

Ludic is an interdisciplinary collective of artists with backgrounds in scenography, neuroscience, sound, dance, performance arts, design
and psychology.  We present the idea of each participant as a co-producer
of mutually created situations. Musicians can dance, scenographer can choregraphe, and scientists can be visual artists. 

We create performances, installations, somatic workshops, soundscapes, sense and nonsense.
