FunKamel is the musical project of Moti Landesman & Neria Orbach. The two, mix a wide selection of ethnic music flavors, with a strong middle-eastern influence, layered on a variety of electronic styles.
FunKamel was formed in the underground scenes of Tel-Aviv and later on, they stepped out from the bubbling city to perform in many colorful gatherings in Israel and around the globe. From the vast deserts of Sinai to the crowded venues of Berlin and much more, Moti and Neria ride on their magic Kamel to display their Funky approach towards multi-cultural music around the world.
At the Beginning of 2019, Funkamel founded their record label 'Camel Riders Records' with Laorz aka Laroz Camel Rider. Together they have built a big family that showcases constantly a cutting-edge catalog of multiple delightful electronic genres, fused with traditional folk and organic music. Enjoy the ride!

In his 25-plus-year career, Cantanca has explored numerous angles of the music business, from working on as a radio promoter/presenter to event manager. Living mostly in Istanbul and partly in Milano, the Turkish veteran carries a tremendous experience as a multifaceted hard-working person. Under his belt several projects have been running throughout the years, 
either being the founder of Lounge FM or the creator of the Chill-Out Festival, Electronica Festival and Urban Festival. 

The “behind the scenes” work isn’t always glamorous, but certainly great music is the foundations of his career as disc jockey, also as primarily a form of self-expression. And, behind this seasoned DJ is a wealth of clubbing, crate-digging, mix-swapping and general music loving. In recent years, he has expanded his sets to often pair genres within his Turkish's trademark, including sounds and genuine Turkish producers. You don’t become a music expert overnight, so enjoy his outstanding selection in our 144th edition recorded live @ lounge fm on-air studios in January 2019. Music speaks louder than words, just play.

What a crazy year 2020 has been. We took for granted our right to move and dance without restrictions and this year has been a reminder of how everything in the universe is so fragile. We've decided to start the new year with a special set and share a fresh wind of hope with a strong scent of freedom in order to remind us all, how our life should look like and how we should live on planet Earth. Usually, you can barely find English in our Funkamel sets, but on this occasion we decided to gather everyone for the trip by opening with three mesmerizing tracks in the language that connects most of the people in our world. This multi-cultural journey slowly but surely moving to the ethnic sounds and cultures that make our minds and soul dream, and right after takes us back to Africa and the Middle-East, where we truly feel at home.
