Yo! What you been up to recently?

Everything and nothing - making work for a show at Herrretics which opens 16th June & finishing off The Fertile Crescents album which comes out on solstice via Xquisite.

How and where did you record the mix? Was there any theme etc behind it?

I put it together on ableton whilst in bed with a fever. Thematically its just my ongoing sub narrative on conflict and catharsis.

Big fans of your own productions as well as TFC, what was the inspiration with the collaboration w/ oxhy?
O and I have been working together in different forms for a few years, they taught me how to use Ableton and we've worked on many side projects for each other too. The Fertile Crescent spiralled out of our mutual interest in the legacy of the non western part of the world and a desire to make the most awful music we were capable of laying claim to, we're not done yet.

Whats next for ya this year?
More of everything good please, working towards an EP for a label and trying to figure out financing films, but thats the long game i guess.

This month DjSport invites La Basscour for an hour guest mix.

Originally from Mauritius Island, and now based in Melbourne, La Basscour is a two way musical project. 
He distinguishes himself by his mixing style and selection, which almost makes you feel like being inside a busy henhouse : loads of noises, overlaps and jerky bass. Through his sharp selections, he creates a universe of his own, chaining relentless sets that mingle bass, noise, ambiant and more. 
He conducted a journey through a blend of ambient noises and weird atmospheres evolving into suspended metaphysical basses for this one. 
Sit back and enjoy the trip.

DjSport is taking control of the second hour. Travelling across borders, vibes and energies, she put together a mind bending mix juggling between downtempo,  jungle, bass, breaks, ambiant, dub & new wave.

René Danger is back with his "Gwerz Boy" EP and transversal project mixing music (indeed), but also a fanzine and a video game on an actual Game Boy cartridge!
With "Enez Eusa", René Danger tells a traditional Breton gwerz (lament) about the loss of loved ones at sea, readapted over minimalist gameboy arpeggios. 
Plot twist and spoilers: it ends in a cathartic gabber apotheosis.

Self-taught producer, art director and label head. Though for the past 14 years his repertoire has drawn references anywhere from club culture's obscure fringes and caustic industrial clatter to musique concrète discretion and knuckle-dragging rock — it all feeds into his sense of sonic intensities and improvisational, organic production values. Lund's work is fixated on close examination of timbre and texture, at sword's point with passive listening. More recently he has shifted into employing contextual methods of capturing and processing sound, twisting into bewildering new forms.
