Berlin based OKMACH3 presents a divers and club-oriented sound. The focus is on releases blending genre conventions and challenging listeners while keeping in mind that the night belongs to lovers and dancers alike.
Our first release is also the solo debut of fnctrl and encapsulates the spirit of OKMACH3 perfectly. His sound merges Electro influences with a bass-driven four to the floor production and grooves ranging into Trance. It's an atmospherically dense and dark Sci-Fi trip attended by an AI contemplating the nature of human interaction.

PREMIERE : Fnctrl - Intersubjectivity

Remix pack 1 starts off with a rolling Liquid Drum & Bass remix by Los Angeles based Man From Another Place, with housey chords, lush pads and a precisely crafted sub this remix will kick up the dancefloor into the next gear. New York’s Primø has been releasing tracks and DJing since the late 90s and charting Top 10 under various aliases. His remix of “We Are the Ravers” strips everything back and rebuilds it in his vision. It’s a definite for your Acid Techno crate. fnctrl is a newcomer from Berlin who is greatly influenced by the city’s many infamous dance music facets. He is also a co-founder of OKMACH3 record label and we’re excited to have his remix on this release. The remix starts with an epic psychedelic ambient intro with a huge kick and growling bassline. This would make a great opening track for any banging Techno set.

Deep, future-garage inspired mid-tempo bass-driving track envelops listeners in a hypnotic embrace, the rhythm, like a pulsating like a heartbeat beneath layers of dark, moody atmospheres. Male vocals, haunting and emotive, weave through the sonic landscape, adding depth and intensity to the cinematic vibe.

Synthetic Truth

Gravity is a piece about letting go and embracing change. Musicians always tell you that their latest music is the best they have ever written, so this might be unusual to hear, but this track is simultaneously my most and least favorite piece of music i have written in recent years.

A few months ago i had some pretty traumatic experiences that made me unable to focus on any creative work. When i finally sat down to make something, i didn't wanted to write anything significant or important, i only wanted to experiment with some new sounds and ideas. This piece was almost finished in a few hours. I wanted to widen the palette of the sounds i'm using, introducing new bass instruments, a new approach to create drum tracks and also trying out a i - bVII - i - ii chord progression, which i believe is extremely rare to find.

First i was hesitant to even share this one because i feel it is very generic and predictable in many ways, yet somehow it captured perfectly my state of mind after the wounds of last year. Sometimes you just have to accept that things change around you and stop hold on to your hurt feelings, so your mind and body can be at the same place again. Far from the place that pulls you down.
I am listening to it for weeks now and somehow feel better every time. It is a very strange adventure to me, but there you go...

Distant Lives is the result of my first experiments with frequency modulation. I finally opened Ableton Operator to see how it works, and when I heard this three-overtone saw wave modulated by a 4-bit sine, I instantly fell in love with it. I randomly played some notes on my MIDI keyboard, and this surprisingly sweet melody emerged.

It reminded me of a few images I shot last winter at the Siófok pier—a red lantern coloring the shoreline and casting new light on the dusk. Aren't we all just mesmerized by the sight of great lakes and seas? Contemplating distances and unreachable goals? Are there people standing on the other side, looking in our direction with the same curiosity as us? Is there a better life waiting for us all, or is this the better life?

This is a rare case of image and sound inspiring each other in a feedback loop. I quite like this piece, and I hope you find something in it too.

Luminous Beings - Follow The Path (GGRRR Remix)

Luminous Beings released their first album "Pretty Chill" in the late 90's as a deep meditative ambient concept album that took listeners on a continuously-mixed journey to an engineered relaxation featuring hypnotizing audio interlaced with brainwave frequencies and binaural beats. Their follow-up, "The Real You" was released in 2002, "Dream Research" in 2005, and the fourth album "The Future is..." was released in 2007.

It's been 16 years since a new album and the time has finally arrived for the latest album "Self-Inflicted Happiness" to be released in August 2024.
