Less-O delivers a recording for the Rhythmic Culture podcast this week, packed with music out of the deep corners of electronic music. Raised in a family of sound lovers, Less-O has been rocked from an early age by the music of his parents. Both are classical guitarists with Latin American influences, his father being Argentinean. Very quickly, the young child wanted to bang rhythms on everything he could find, chairs, tables, glasses... Naturally, he started learning music via drums, essentially jazz. It is this discovery that will totally shape his vision of electronic music, developing his taste for broken rhythms. Bass music, dubstep, breakbeat, jungle, UKG or even trap and dancehall: Less-O finds with the practice of mixing a new way to play with cadences and beats at the same time as he builds a solid musical culture. And after his incredible debut EP 'Shenanigans' on Simo Cell's TEMƎT Music, we're more than ready for what is coming up next.

Jealous Hours is the first full-length LP by the Tel-Aviv based DJ & producer Lily Haz. Featuring nine genre-bending tracks in her distinctive electro-dub style, the project playfully emphasizes & recontextualizes the role of sampling using cinematic references to nineties cult songs & movies.

“I’m a rapper!” says the kid to the cop. “Oh you’re a rapper? Oh, ok… Be cool, stay in school” the cop condescently replies.

Thanks to her unique approach to production, Lily takes us for a tour in her obscure, ethereal universe where hip hop’s supremacy is undisputed. Flirting with the club realm while fearlessly determined in her style, each of one of her core influences is essential to this parallel universe. Out there, pitched-down rap verses top obscure beats and rolling liquid jungle drums ; extended intros and outros riffle through the whole spectrum of human emotion. From anger to the puzzling humoristic dialogues she creates by toying with her own layered vocals or memphis rap samples, one cannot help but let himself dive into this ethereal consciousness outburst.

Leck Meine Bahn - they are back! These two space cadets bring back home some heavy radiated elements from outer space. After a two year odyssey, they return back to mother earth with an insane Live Set (Backslash Festival 2022) and a Battery Point EP full of blasting fusion energy. Their musical capsule comes packed with new textures, mixed up with an unholy but tasty reduction of Jungle and Trance substances melting with a fusion of Bass Music and industrial space chugs.
This cosmologic sound match is leading to a new co-dependency between gravity and bass. Their enigmatic grooves are ponderous yet playful and every alien ear which listened to this intergalactic call so far, could not escape this quirky dance atmosphere. Brainwaves music commanders aka LMB are Estebahn and Yolek and this composition is their second EP which results to an extension of new boundaries in our further rave solar system. Including two massive remixes by Jan Loup and Nuevo Prohibido to beam up every sort of flesh to the the next bass portal. Space alert!
