Romanian platform @playedby celebrates 10 years of activity in the electronic music scene with an amazing Various Artists compilation which includes 20 notable tracks from renowned local and international producers. This special edition release arrives in a 6×12" Vinyl-Only Box Set in a limited number of copies.

@cristian-klebleev's track “Until The End” closes the VA with a steady-paced rhythm flavoured by the phased acapella vocals of The Choir Of Milagros, which come in and out of focus as the track unfolds its immersive arrangement designed with chilled drums, rotating background textures and shuffling complementary effects.

And then came the Visitations.

The fifth opus of the Worst Records library could appear as an audiobook for transcendental meditations. If the idea of trance-induced state is no surprise in the music we deliver to the world, this new album by Ricco goes beyond. The pair formed by Gil.Barte, head of Kump Records, and HLM38, in charge of house Notte Brigante, dare to offer a sinuous collection of mantras melted in light, silver dust and darkness. Each track navigates through ritualistic slow beats, drum'n'bass-ish half tempo incantations and other mystic hybrid forms not so far from Kode 9esque or Shakletonists reminiscences, just to name a few. The titles evoke a spiritual diagonal, from biblical to islamic worlds and arcanes, passing through persian tradition and obscure references hard to decipher. Several interludes, leading to the final Prelude, stand as resting rooms to drown the listener into purifying dark-ambient, where glitches of enlightenment and distants sounds from nature slowly disappear in divine drones. You now hold in your hands a keyholder to somewhere else, a sonic ally through everyday chaos, and spells to protect the soul.

This mini LP is an explicit message from Lustpoderosa's sonic continuum. These 7 tracks show the deep connection of Marlene Starks' work as a writer and an artist to her role as mother and DJ in times when there is an urgent need to dismantle the patriarchy in our society and rave culture.
Marlene Stark is telling us much more than a great musical story with the symbolic title “Hyäne”. Marlene wants to direct our attention to a reviled creature while she reflects on its literary and symbolic meanings. Although hyenas live in a matriarchal society, its transmutation can be perceived as the ongoing struggle of the non-male body in an androcentric world view.
Marlene Starks reinterprets the figure of the hyena in a very poetic, self-ironical and honest way, as shown in the tracks ‘Hungry As a Hunter’, 'Hyäne’ and ‘Language Of Old Woman’. It's a neo-ceremonial call to rethink established structures without missing out the turbulent landscape of today's politics.
From early trip-hop to post-rave elements, Stark combines her sonic adventures with an impressively nonchalant and colloquial vocabulary. Her voice, as well as the voice of guest singer Stefanie Mader, achieves a remarkable vocal structure that goes beyond the mainstream.
This is the contemporary body music for the next generation.

Marlene Stark is a DJ, producer, author, artist and mother. She is a regular at the @Sameheads Club Berlin where she hosts her party called 'Superposition'.
In 2019, Marlene published her debut novel "M" with co-author Anna Gien at Matthes and Seitz. The book talks about the systematic oppression of women in capitalism and in the art scene while talking about Berlin, its music scene, djing, drugs, sexuality and Male Gaze.
Marlene's debut album 'Hyäne' is a continuation of her work. It’s a thoughtfully influenced and neo-ceremonial music that aspires to evoke body trance and the awakening of hysteria. Marlene Stark floods the dancefloor with rhythmic body music that is dark, courageous and vocal in a political and in a poetic way. The tracks are influenced by early Breakbeat, Downtempo, Trance and Acid, with hints of Trip Hop, Tribal, Psychedelic and Krautrock.

To honor Stephen and his impressive career as musician with Psyche (together with brother Darrin Huss) and as a solo artist, Artificial Dance decided to release his solo work on vinyl for the very first time. The Galaxy LP is a collection of 6 tracks recorded between 1983 - 2005 selected together with Darrin Huss. Belial, Quest 6 and Eternal City will be familiar to fans of Psyche as bonus tracks on the CD version of “Daydream Avenue”. Marooned In Step Time, Galactic and Rattlesnake are discoveries from solo archives that are being made available on a physical release for the first time.

Stephen’s music was featured on the Artificial Dancers compilation earlier this year and after discovering all the great music he has made as a solo artist Artificial Dance contacted Darrin to work on a compilation. Stephen’s music as the foundation of Psyche is known worldwide, but he kept his profile as a solo artist relatively low. 

Together with Darrin, Artificial Dance selected 6 tracks that give a complete overview of Stephen as a solo musician. These wide-ranging synth instrumentals were recorded between 1983 and 2005 and you can clearly hear the range of talent through the early Psyche influences to his further experiments in the electronic genre. Let Galaxy be your guide into this unique musical experience created solely by Stephen Huss. All tracks are remastered by Darrin Huss, artwork by Steele Bonus.

This compilation is a dedication to Stephen Huss and all the great music he has done.

Amidst the rubble and the ruins, fractured artefacts and broken glass reflected and sparkled, twinkling underneath the balmy sun like diamonds. The dust had settled on this forgotten town, what remained of the tall buildings and monuments smothered in a thick blanket of ash. This once thriving place was now a secret, a lost relic in time. 

Moscow-based duo Ólta Karawane are shrouded in mystery, operating as a unit since meeting one inebriated night. Dab hands at re-editing, the pair set about reinterpreting forgotten tracks that stretch from oddball new wave to raw punk and rattling industrial and EBM. Following outings for I'm A Cliche's Edit Service and Discos Capablanca, they return to French label Maturre for their second Punkish et Metallic compilation, a collection of edits that chime with the release's title.

Sounds Of Ogigia is a new label inspired by ancient Greek gnosis, ritual practices and deviant sounds. 

The label is a crossover from the homonymous show for the Edinburgh based EH-FM which is presented by dj and promoter Pako Vega since August 2018.

The first release is by one of the strongest names in the game these days: Aggelos Baltas aka Anatolian Weapons @anatolianweapons. 

On this occasion, the Greek man is delivering a full-on eclectic EP with his unique ethnic touch. This four-track EP is a delicacy for the nonconformists; going from a Psych-Rock exploration and Dancehall rhythms to cathartic Slow-Chug and EBM belters.

The EP will be release digitally only on 21.11.2020 exclusively via Bandcamp.
