This is a piece I made for the 2015 HearSay International Audio Festival.

When I was 4 my family and I travelled to Donegal for my Grandmother's funeral, the next day we went to the beach and a big wave took me out. This is about that time.

The piece ended up winning two HearSay Festival awards, for the best Student-Produced, and the best Irish-Produced.

cause the light cuts too deep today
gave myself a fair warning

to learn my life back to front
to get somewhere that isn't here

When I applied for a job at 3FE on my application form when asked what I could bring to the team I said I'd make class playlists. This is a little mix of a few of the 100andsomething tracks you might find on that playlist. 

When you're working in a cafe everything comes in waves, so a lot of the music we have on helps us get into a certain fast workflow. Music is important. Let your staff listen to what they want and it pays off. 

We get to play a whole lot of class stuff you'd never hear around most places in town during the hours we're open.
