We're a three piece band with part-timers who sit in on occasion (formerly Skiprope Cello. Same band, revised name). We're currently working on our 3rd album (1st full length) to be released on Bandcamp to be entitled "Vanity Fair." Watch for pre-releases soon. See Bandcamp link below.  

We're avid readers, so lyrics are often based on books.  Genre is eclectic mix of alternative, lo-fi, techno, lounge, punk-jazz of the 1920s/30s variety. We are from both California and the Midwest (Iowa), United States. Our influences include: Cole Porter, Dostoevsky, Steely Dan, F.S. Fitzgerald, The Clash, Henry James, Potluck Suicide, Gary Numan, James Joyce, Daniel Amos, Fellini, Marc Plainguet, CS Lewis, The Residents, George Bernard Shaw, Al Jolson, Atom Bender, Chopin, Captain Beefheart, TS Eliot, Bob Dylan, Ultravox, Scott Joplin, Anthony Trollope, The Strokes, Kraftwerk, Bill Mallonee, Franz Kafka. all of the tracks on here are made with a 12 track boss digital recorder.      to make some sounds more spacious such as the main chords and melodies i have to use 2 tracks at the same time. this is why i try to keep my tracks short because i can only use a limited number of sounds. if i use 2 tracks for bass, drums, chords and melody it only leaves me with 4 tracks for effects and secondary melodies. i prefer to record only one sound on the channels allocated as this avoids problems with volume levels.  i'm not a great musician, but i am also not very good with computers, so this is the only way i can demonstrate my musical ideas.  a big thank you to everyone who listens and comments.........and especially those who like.

There is not really much to say here. Feel free to sit down and listen, take a break from the past and the future and find yourself somewhere inside. It is a true pleasure to have You here, however deep you are hidden in the mind and the body.
