Thanks to Bass Coast for inviting me back this year, it was such a pleasure to play this year as we celebrated 10 years of quality bass music. The dance floor was packed and an hour and a half timeslot really allowed me to explore everything i wanted to share. Seriously can't thank you all enough.  Big ups Bassbus, Rebel Cause Films and the sound boys Dan, Joe, and Jacob. This is by far the best set I have ever experienced at a music festival, period.  meta luv u <3

The Champagne Emoji Show - April 1st 2019

From December 14 - January 31, 12 Bass Coast alumni are providing original tracks for download by donation. Bass Coast will match all donations made and all proceeds will be donated to The Conayt Friendship Center in Merritt, British Columbia on the shared traditional territories of the Nłeʔkepmx and Sylix.

Raising $2,500 will allow The Conayt Friendship Center to send five youth and a chaperone to Gathering Our Voices, a two day conference that brings indigenous youth from across Canada together to learn, explore and engage with culture.

Over the past few years The Conayt Friendship Center has not had the funds to send Merritt youth to the conference. The community in Merritt has welcomed Bass Coast to the area for the past 8 years. By donating and downloading tracks, you are making a lasting, positive impact on the lives of local youth at a vital time.

Raised in Virginia Beach, Va ¥oko grew up listening to predominantly southern hip hop and developed a love of 808’s and pavement cracking bass. In 2015 he moved to Salt Lake City, Ut and and fell in w/ the right crowd of hoodlums that all shared a love of bass and fat beats.    Now representing Smoke Siignals in PDX he continues to dig for tunes and hone his craft trying keep his mixes eclectic representing all genres of bass music.

Jonny Ng - better known as Syntax has been immersed in soundsystem culture for nearly 10 years. From creative writer for UK based dubstep label/blog Trusik, to curator, operator and selector of Calgary based crew Sub Chakra. One who takes great pride in his selections, Syntax stays true to the craft by DJing exclusively on vinyl records where he demonstrates his candid ear and precision mixing.

Inspired by traditional reggae/dub and moved by modern day electronic music, Syntax specializes in all-out soundsystem music - from upbeat UK steppas to low-end dubstep pressure. With emphasis on culture, conscious sounds and music with substance, few DJ’s mix, blend and draw as deep as Syntax.

With notable performances at Bass Coast, Astral Harvest and Wicked Woods, the last year has seen Syntax honing in on his sound while continuing to build his arsenal of vinyl selections and dubplate cuts - always focused on taking the dancefloor through his unique journey.
