The mix series and music platform Mantissa takes its first steps into the label space with Mantissa 001. Written and produced by a close friend to the Mantissa family, this unnamed and elusive artist has begun the label with a bang, three club focused, space inspired tracks designed to decimate a dancefloor or atone a night's shenanigans at an after's.

Frozen Bounce finalising the A side with a wobbly number, woven together with quick cuts and jerky elements. U10A, the most structured of a complex affair, is a warming club tool perfect for both beginning and finishing an evening. It's remix similarly suitable for any party specific scenario, produced by the infamously talented artist Ciel.

Finally Flexi Cuts returns with a brand new release pressed on a “raw transparent" vinyl called “Velvet Series” no 2 – six quality tracks from six superb artists for an electronic journey that makes you fly over “velvet”.
Selection of the works wasn't easy; the tracks were chosen tryin' to maintain a high quality level, such as the oldest (v. series part 1) which have been so appreciated out there.

The A side opening is by Bologna-based Brine, with “YR Body” that provides a Juno-ish bassline with a catchy vocal and a jazzy mood.
Then we have “Benerice" from Daughters and Sons (aka the master Luca Fronza) who throws us into a beautiful Detroit-inspired analog jam.
This side ends with our very own Sicily man Manuold with fresh Italo-House vibes absolutely made for the dance floor.

On the B side, welcome back the veterans Tengrams (formerly the Piatto brothers from N.O.I.A Records) with the outstanding "Rapid Eye Movement"… travelling across retro-future influences and 808 patterns… under a dystopian-sci-fi movie theme.
B2 track is by the Calma duo who plays with a few elements to build a neverending techno climax...did you recognise the sample?
The last track is a sort of relaxing downtempo sunset closure complete with bells, from the California producer Gloved Hands, a name that speaks for itself.

For the last few months time seemed to stand still. Routine shaped her life now; every day was the same, from the moment she opened her eyes to the moment she finally rested her head on her pillow. It had begun to feel normal, as if this were all that was expected of her existence on this planet. Perhaps she preferred this life; cocooned from the pressures of the outside world.

The brainchild of DJ and Headroom co-founder Jessica, Lapse Records enters the world with a split EP from DJ Gonzo & Dr. Yes and Sasha Zlykh. The former pairing, known for their solo outputs as Klein and Melcher, respectively, take care of the A-Side with a playful techy cut and a spooky, hypnotic groover, while on the flip Sasha Zlykh takes the reins with two tripped out collabs alongside pals Troy and Trippsy.

He awoke in the dead of night, panting, sweat pouring profusely from his brow. He was shaken and unaware of his surroundings; he couldn't get a handle on what was reality. Shadows seemed to dance across the walls in strange shapes and the winds outside spoke to him in a whispered tones — were his nightmares making their way into physical existence?

Zurich-based producer Walid is one of the minds behind Les Points who, along with its sub-labels Infoline and Gentrified Undeground, have released a healthy catalogue of electro, wave and industrial-laced trips, coming from artists like Savage Grounds, Cygnus and Neu Verboten. In keeping with these musical flavours, Walid has been cooking up his own 80s-indebted sonics under the guise of Child Of The Waves, which are finding a home on Belgian imprint Basic Moves. Consisting of seven tracks, the release uses cinematic samples, rumbling bass lines, icy synths and haunting FX to craft a journey that could soundtrack an 80s thriller.

Next up we got a 2 hour ride into music delivered by Bogotá via NY badman Tomas Station. Tomas has been an avid cannabis enthusiast since an early age so for him it’s a privilege and an honor to get the chance to accompany your smoking with some proper chunidge! The artwork is a painting from his uncle Andres Garda Peña from 1997.

Nice Timing for another record release? It appears so. With the backing of Subwax Distribution, the quirky San Francisco label returns with release number two. Serving as the platform for label owner Zacky, Nice Timing offers a tongue in cheek outlook on the perception of time itself.

While we consider whether it was actually a burning vinyl crash landing into the extinction of dinosaurs (as depicted by the record artwork), Zacky himself travels through time and space. In the meantime, it’s up to the audience to think a little more seriously about their own method of time travel. Consideration of decisions in the present moment and how the future might be affected by said decisions. Alex from Voiceless is no stranger to DJ’ing and hosting club nights after already more than a 100 events behind him in Nantes with the likes of Francesco Del Garda, Vera and Binh to name a few. Their own imprint by the same name has also released some quality work in the last 4 years. It’s obvious he knows a thing or two about the scene he’s in and this mix for us is a great example of that: built as he would’ve played in K4 himself, with a touch of ambient in the end to return to reality as clubs are still closed.. still with an optimistic vibe to it.
