Sónar Premiere: Christian Tiger School "If You Want To"

Here's a short extract from a soundtrack I wrote for Little Brown Girl, a documentary directed by Amy Rinquest and produced by Nina Lawrenson.

For these sounds, I used recordings of the piano at my family home, manipulated electronically to create atmospheric textures; as well as minimalistic melodies, which are deconstructed and transformed as the film develops thematically.

'Little Brown Girl' is UCT Honours hybrid documentary that explores the power of representation in the 21st century. The film examines the effect of a lack of meaningful, three dimensional representation of women of colour on the screen and in print.
