"Dublin-born and now London-based DJ and Producer Mark Davis aka darkmavis has been lucky to experience a lifelong obsession with dance music. This obsession naturally led him to his artistic path he's been on for the past number of years. He can also be found curating his beloved platform 'Ethereal Skies', a forward-thinking label, party and platform dedicated to unearthing avant-garde, hard and euphoric dance music and also as a core team member and Resident DJ of London’s Joyride, a queer kink party merging the worlds of rave culture and kink culture. 

Much like the ethos of Ethereal Skies, darkmavis is heavily inspired by a range of oldskool sounds and scenes including hardcore, prog, hard house, trance and queer scenes coupled with more contemporary, futuristic and innovative sounding genres of music. dark mavis’ style is a construct of these juxtaposing eras and sounds, ranging from colourful trance to dark deconstructed club sounds, oldskool hardcore to ambient dreamscapes and everything in between. Looking toward his wide variety of independent releases and mix/radio appearances, which can be heard on platforms such Rinse, Balamii, HÖR, Goddezz, Pocket Radio and more. 

darkmavis over time has become an ever-present figure within the Irish Dance Music scene, frequenting a range of the best parties and venues Ireland has to offer as well as performing at all of the major festivals such as Electric Picnic, All Together Now and Fuinneamh. Not to mention some of the accolades earned as part of London’s vibrant dance scene which include appearances at Corsica Studios, Electrowerkz and Dalston Superstore, and spinning a host of other queer parties and venues across the city and some of dance music's most renowned parties such as Pornceptual, Teletech and much more.

He has shared line ups with some of the most innovative artists in electronic music such as Evian Christ, Gabber Eleganza, Varg2tm, Schacke, Namasenda, JamesJamesJames, Dark0, DJ Paypal, Chippy Nonstop and much much more. This dedication to his craft of DJing, producing and promoting leaves dark mavis in a workflow whereby he is constantly evolving on all fronts. A true genre-fluid DJ in every sense that has accumulated such a rich and vast library over the years with the ability to perform sets transcending time, space and pace while keeping his signature sounding place. You can expect precision in darkmavis' sets, a true tastemaker, taking you on a sonic trip through his library and skills."
