The resonant symbolism of the number three runs through Celtic tradition from earliest times. The Celts, like other Europeans, attached significance to nearly all frequently used numbers but gave the greatest to three. Triune and tripartite figures appear from the earliest times, while in Wales and Ireland traditional learning was formulated into the Triad. No gloss in a Celtic language explains why this should be so, but commentators apply interpretations that have arisen in other European contexts. Pythagoras cites three as the perfect number, signalling beginning, middle, and end; a tripod or three-legged stool (as at Delphi) is stable and will not rock. Three can represent life: male, female, and progeny; time: past, present, and future; the visible world: sky, earth, and underground; space: before, behind, and right here. Some commentators, especially the influential Georges Dumézil (1898–1986), have suggested analogy with the tripartite division of early European society: farmers, warriors, and clergy. As Joseph Vendryes pointed out (1952) triune figures often have a single dominant personality and two ciphers; perhaps there is really only one person referred to, as can be seen in early Irish dynastic records that cite triplets all with the same name. A prime example in mythic literature is the three sons of Uisnech: Noíse, the lover of Deirdre, has a developed personality but his two brothers, Ardan and Ainnle, are distinguished only by the tones of their voices. At the same time, the reverse of Vendryes's thesis is also true; the three figures of the Mórrígna, Badb, Macha, and the Mórrígan, have much in common and are also easy to distinguish. Further, there are also three Machas.

A full account of Celtic instances of triplism would fill many pages, coming from all periods of Celtic culture, and a few citations must suffice here. Among the earliest are triple-faced heads, the best-known of which was found at Corleck, Co. Cavan. Gaulish Mercury was both triple-faced and triple-phallused. Elsewhere in ancient sculpture, the mysterious hooded figure Genius Cucullatus appears singly among Continental survivals but forms a disciplined trio, Genii Cucullati, in Britain. The Roman poet Lucan (1st cent. ad) proposed that the Gaulish gods Esus, Taranis, and Teutates were mentioned so often together as to form a triad. In early Ireland examples include the three Fothads, the three sons of the Dagda, and Finn Emna or the Three Finns of Emain Macha. There are three female personifications of Ireland, Ériu, Banba, and Fódla, and three gods of craft, Credne, Goibniu, and Luchta. Tlachtga is raped by the three sons of Simon Magus and gives birth to triplets. Ingcél Cáech has three pupils in one terrible black eye. Branwen of the Mabinogi is one of three matriarchs. In Wales there are Three Exalted Prisoners and Three Generous Men of the Isle of Britain. The symbol of the Isle of Man is the three-legged triskelion.

I love listening to & creating ambient, dark ambient, avant-garde & experimental electronica (and the occasional beatscape). I have no professional aspirations  - I just really like creating music / manipulating sounds. It's my way of relaxing after a hard day at the office. All my tracks are produced using monitoring headphones (Audix A140) so I recommend that you listen to my music through headphones. My DAW of choice is FL Studio. I also use Reason every now & then. 


To the artists I follow; I do my best to try to listen to as many of your tracks as possible each night (I listen to each track all the way through - you went through the effort to create a track so you deserve to have it heard in full). If I miss a recent upload of yours, please forgive me...

Loo(p)cy is a project by Italian multi-instrumentalist Lucia Caiazza. She began studying classical piano then she fell in love with  electric guitar, becoming a rock guitarist and singer during her teenage years and beyond.  During the  last 8 years, Loo(p)cy has released 11 albums, alone and collaborating with other musicians.  Her style has evolved into electronics, noise, post rock with oniric soundscapes.

HS Recordings is a small label in the making, it was organized back in 1999, and behaved like a Phoenix bird. It soared with a musical opus, then fell to the ground. The label was organized by two friends Jan Slavov (Dj UNO) and Sergey Ptitsin (  ZARINE, S13, NIR300, PTITZYN ...) on the basis of the HAVANA CLUB institution in St. Petersburg. Life has been swept away by comrades around the world, but the idea of ​​the label is still alive and is being realized again. The label, as from the very beginning, is engaged in interesting projects  preferring electronic music. ZARINE was one of those who stood at the source in the 90s  Drum and bass in the culture, and today promotes broken rhythms in massy.Sozdav recording studio, has been mixed and the release material of other musicians of different napravleniy.Currently the label is looking for sponsorship to enter the market as the capable UNIT.

Bruce Klepper is a Colorado based composer. Klepper writes music in a number of different styles, including contemporary classical music, jazz, soundscapes using field recordings, ambient music, and ballet music.  Klepper has been composing music for Danse Etoile Ballet (www.danseetoile.org) since 2016. Klepper has been collaborating with Parlando School of Musical Arts (www.parlando.org) faculty Britta De Groot and Sergei Govorov, composing and arranging new music for the dynamic piano and saxophone duo to premier around the United States. Klepper's music premiered in Carnegie Hall, September 2022.  Klepper's music can be heard on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and SoundCloud. 

Klepper studied music composition in the 1970's and received a degree in music composition and theory.  After writing music for many years and starting a tech company based in Colorado, Klepper retired in 2014 from business so he could devote myself to his true passion, composing music.
