THE CONCEPT BEHIND POLYMATH:

Every artist has their own perspective, imagination, style and inspirations. They share this with the world through their creations and performances, their own musical concepts. Each concept is unique, as is every performance.

Polymath can be defined as ‘many talents’. The Polymath concept will ask different artists to create pieces inspired by their perception of a singular theme. This concept gives artists the freedom to share their own visions on a given notion, to push and stretch their boundaries of creativity, and to present inspired tracks and artwork.

Each Polymath release is an experiment. It will include three different artists’ pieces inspired by the same theme. This is tied together with ornate artwork to complete the bespoke showpiece.

This release is a road to Asia … A long journey of sightseeing and adventures. The Tracks of the Berlin duo with crown and scepter, better known as Kaiser Souzai have been named by their inspirations during their trip through Asia with stops in Koh Phangan and Hyderabad which contained moments for their first Jannowitz release. This EP is truly an addition to their rockin' Boho, Paul Feris and Vazik remix, which has been released also on Jannowitz. A continuous groove which u can find in all their productions and remixes and is truly their recognition value.
The Brazilian André Gazolla supports this EP with his groovy techno remix. The melodic remix part of this release is coming from Daniele Di Martino. 
We really don't need any introduction to Kaiser Souzai. You just need to take your time and feel their productions. Listen to the full Ep, and convince yourself ;)

'It is a new year and Heinz Music is ready to set it off with a bang! Daniel Jaeger is a familiar face to the family and especially loved for his skillful molding of synths. Together with the young and talented Raphael Hofman he has set out on a deep and mysterious journey, resulting in their "Lost Unit" EP. The title track already sets the tone, and a dark and ominous bassline leads the way towards a soundscape of stabbing and atmospheric synths culminating in a powerful break. Secondly, "Kids On A Riot" continues with a flaring groove and massively pulsating bassline. It is a kind of euphoria hidden in the melody, just eagerly waiting to create some frenzy on the dance floor. Daniel and Raphael's third original track, "Generation Change", funks it up a bit. A tight and bouncy drum work sets the scene, introducing mysterious melodic elements and chords, underlining the silky vocals.'

Talking about the new venture, Moscoman says, "I wanted Disco Halal to have an outlet like this, a great opportunity for us to promote and shine a light on amazing new music from young unknown artists. The Disco Halal Singles Club gives us exactly that. We hope you enjoy it.”
 
The first selection of releases includes high-octane synth wave melody ‘Ananda’ from Goom Gum and a trance-inspired cut ‘Jado’ from 8Kays & Postig which demonstrates the depth and far-reaching soundscapes of the label.
 
Based in Berlin, but firmly rooted in the diverse and forward-facing musical scene of Tel Aviv, Disco Halal label hails from beneath the minarets of the Holy Land. The imprint exists to present a tightly-knit and growing community of musicians and producers, each transmitting their unique musical identity, yet each united by a unique sensibility, as well as a harmonious balance of rhythm and experimentation.
 
Encompassing elements of downtempo, new-wave and alternative pop, stitched together with a leftfield dancefloor throb, Disco Halal’s back-catalogue, filled with efforts from the likes of Simple Symmetry, The Organism and Moscoman himself, has seen the imprint rapidly emerging from the once-overlooked nightlife and club scene of Tel Aviv into the worldwide spectrum.
