My world never moved on from there
What should I dare become?
Ready drifter, astro-naught,
multi-hyphenate creative?
Beginning on the margin again
Beginner, constantly "un-"
Constantly blown by solar winds
My follicles untether
Rods skip cones, my focus
pan-galactic smithereens
What flakes of sound can write this SNOW?
in which now loses as "S"
and then an "O"
What next?

I've never advanced a single step
Equilibrium, homeostasis
Tight fit, clinging fabric of pulsar
Entropy, everything so near,
no city, no center.
Just a fan blowing a breeze
for no face. Just a poem
spoken for, broken from
a gathering of the nations of words!
Who-hoa. Heart-beat caldera
Glowing blind, thumped
in hunch-back gloom

Must mist sybilline whispers

The poem really starts to come to life
when it being read for the first time
as if it were being written in the mind of the reader
who does a double-take, trying to figure
where it all comes from, where it's going
where the poem is coming from
inside itself, siphoned outward

Double Sonnet
A sniff of the daffs, the scarab crossing the trail
a dance through the wheat then wetting the coat 
even the crows halt to clear their throat
for that digging they can tell from your tail.

Vulnerable, a stage to classify the risk of no longer
the assessment report was data deficient 
as those plants whose future shows no certain coefficient
and the urge for a spot in the wild to reconquer.

Unyielding the cycle that clamps the years to go 
it clasps one’s hands, tight, behind the back
the leash is torn and it’s pointless to sew.

A list of instructions to order them all in a row
antiemetics in disguise, strenuous to check and track 
injecting misery is the tough task of woe.

When I watch your slow pace, two mothers
I wonder what unsaid and undone grip your hearts
secrets that howl, nocturnal, pierced by darts
the nudity of presence, hope thinning out its feathers.

At times you stare at the void, and then quickly searching
as if you don’t belong here, as if you don’t know why
and there’s more than meets the eye
a mystery and a quest, the predicament of being.

And while your teeth like Doric columns grasp that’s true
the mouth gets lost in imperceptible spasms
all experienced and learnt, yet everything new.

Inside, the yelps that ail what you lived through
tales and indictments refracting like prisms
what narrative shall I pass on and pursue?

Sonetto Doppio
Una fiutata ai narcisi, lo scarabeo che passa la strada
danzare nel grano poi bagnare il pelo che cuoce
anche i corvi si arrestano a schiarire la voce
che quello scavare ben si evince dalla coda.

Vulnerabile lo stadio che classifica il rischio del non esistere
la valutazione del referto offre un quadro insufficiente
come quelle piante il cui futuro mostra uno scarso coefficiente
e l’urgenza di un angolo selvatico per cui combattere.  

Inflessibile il ciclo che serra gli anni mancanti
costringe le mani, strette, dietro la schiena
il guinzaglio si è rotto, inutile cucirne i tiranti.

Una lista di istruzioni a sistemarli tutti in fila, come passanti
antiemetici in incognito, faticoso controllare e tracciar la pena
iniettare miseria è il compito di dolore e pianti.

Quando guardo il passo rallentato, due madri
mi interrogo sui non detto e non fatto che attanagliano i cuori
segreti che ululano, notturni, trafitti da dardi aggressori
la nudità della presenza, speranza dai piumaggi radi.

A volte fissate il vuoto e poi rapide cercate
come non appartenere, come non sapere perché
e vi è più di quel che pare in sè
un mistero e una ricerca, precarietà che abbandonate.

E mentre i denti come colonne doriche sanno che è vero
la bocca si perde in impercettibili spasmi
il tutto provato e appreso, ancora tutto straniero.

Dentro, i guaiti che affliggono un vissuto sincero
racconti e atti d’accusa a rifrangere come prismi
che narrazione porterò, quale respiro?
