so I brewed another coffee

Tomorrow - it's perfectly clear
everything important will start right there
Today I'm rehearsing my grand excuse
tomorrow I'll tighten the noose

I planned to pay the landlord
but the app said "try again"
I took that as a cosmic sign
to binge another show

I promised I'd go running
but my shoes are still offended
they've been waiting by the doorway
like statues keeping score

Tomorrow - the schedule's clean
I'll publish a book and I'll learn to sing
Today I just practice the art of delay
tomorrow I'll do what I meant for today

to put off flossing
fixing the sink

Toyah Warrior Rock Toyah On Tour 1982

“Askya” is the opening track from 8 by Laxá & Heima Kvartett — a post-rock collective blending Icelandic string quartet textures with guitar, bass, drums, and organ.

Inspired by the volcanic landscape of Askja in Iceland’s highlands, this piece is dedicated to guitarist Jussi Siglarson. The composition unfolds in three movements:

I. Pizzicato strings and guitar introduce the volcanic landscape.

II. Contemplative layers of bass and strings lead into Jussi’s gentle guitar theme.

III. A reggae-inspired bassline and plucked strings drive urgency before the quartet returns, lifting the track to a cinematic close.

For fans of Sigur Rós, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Mogwai, Balmorhea, Explosions in the Sky, Max Richter, Ólafur Arnalds.
