This piece was commissioned by the dancer/choreographer Danae Papadopoulou to accompany her choreography called 'Sarcophagus'. The following text was written by her.

SARCOPHAGUS is a piece, which targets to bring in motion a fundamental, for modern society, situation, in which the corporeality devours the human flesh. This piece investigates the “human-society”
relationship. Human appears as a fragment of the whole, as a little but necessary piece of the fractal. We are talking about an interactive relationship, that follows a circular orbit, in which inevitably everyone
can take both roles, being criticized or criticize. Humans tend to neglect their desires, encroach on their values, adopt behaviors that are not compatible with them, just to befit the group. Each molecule
has its own story, a background that affects their choices, desires, manners. Society usually steers all of them towards one direction through criticism, reward, or punishment, acceptance, or rejection. As
sarcophagus consumes slowly and inevitably the human flesh, alike society devours thoughts that are not compatible and stereotypically acceptable. Society is constantly afraid of and is always fighting
against the different.

Lament for Dinos Pavlopoulos (Electroacoustic piece for Cretan lyra)

Ηλεκτροακουστικό κομμάτι που δημιουργήθηκε αποκλειστικά από ηχογραφήσεις κρητικής λύρας. 

Αφορμή για τη σύνθεση υπήρξε η δημιουργία του documentary-essay μικρού μήκους 'Ακόμη δεν ξεράθηκε εκείνος ο πλάτανος;' με θέμα τον απαγχονισμό του νεαρού Ντίνου Παυλόπουλου από τον κατοχικό γερμανικό στρατό, στην πλατεία Χελμού των Καλαβρύτων την 1η Σεπτεμβρίου του 1943. Λίγους μήνες μετά την εκτέλεσή του, οι Γερμανοί έκαψαν το χωριό και εκτέλεσαν όλους τους άνδρες του, μεταξύ των οποίων και εφήβους άνω των 13 ετών. Έτσι, η σύνθεση ενός μικρού σε διάρκεια κομματιού που θα συνόδευε το βίντεο κατέληξε σε κάτι μεγαλύτερο και πιο ολοκληρωμένο.

Reflections

Τhe oddly named "(I'm) Full Of Spiders, Man!" is a 3 member horror synth-punk band from Athens, Greece, which emerged from the Greek underground scene seemingly out of nowhere on September 2019 as a desperate attempt of honest expression against a reality that has simply gone a bit too far.
They first appeared as a support act at the "Le Prince Harry" gig at "Ίδρυμα 2.14" (Ιdryma 2.14) on October 2019 and at the same month they recorded and released their debut album on the independent punk label "Είσοδος Κινδύνου" (Eisodos Kindynou) on a limited run of tape cassettes.
In the old world, before the COVID 19 situation arose, the band managed to perform 5 times in total at different cities around Greece.
This notorious band is one of an awkward geometry of both dark atmosphere and rad energy, maintaining a humorous approach on their criticism against all things the modern world stands for.

New Podcast is online from a favourite Athenian composer Panos Alexiadis. 

Panos Alexiadis (1985) is a sound artist based in Athens, Greece. His approach to sound lies between composition and improvisation, all merged in long form built structures of acoustic and synthetic textures, evolving a sense of wandering in an introverted semi – abstract sound environment. In 2015 he founded Thalamos, a tape label based between Athens & Berlin, oriented on the peculiar and versatile side of experimental underground sound. For the last couple of years he’s working intensively on his new album “NEOS KOSMOS” which is expected to be completed soon.
