My favorite thing about this recording is that I played a very old Brazilian classical guitar that I bought on the street for $50. The wood is so sweet and mellow, sounding perfectly tender and unadorned for this haunting piece.

this is one of several songs that mark played for an ailing friend and sister, lisa, on 9/25/03.. it was recorded by justin king at blackberry hill studio, a stones throw from eugene.. they recorded for just over an hour with mark's dog, 'tucker' at his feet and gratefully dedicated their work on this day to good healing.. the original recording was called 'chicken soup' and was available only to a select few.. consider yourself selected! stay tuned..
