Aleesandro Adriani is a busy man. Aside from running the hotly tipped Mannequin label, the Italian-born, Berlin-based artist has spent much of 2019 sharing his own haunting, synth-laden creations with the world. Fresh off the reissue of his 2016 LP 'Montagne Transparenti' and the release of his new 'Embryo' EP for Stroboscopic Artefacts, he's lined up a new full-length called 'Morphic Dreams.' Although it won't officially appear until May 17 (once again on Stroboscopic Artefacts), we debuted the driving, EBM-tinged sounds of "Raindance" on Red Bull Radio's First Floor, our weekly look at what's new in electronic music.

RENU (Renu Hossain) is a British-Bengali, London & Berlin based artist. She is a composer, producer, tabla-player, percussionist and music curator. Originally a percussionist for – Grace Jones, State of Bengal, Fun_da_mental, MIKA, Alabama 3 and Tunde Jegede. Learning from percussion Masters in India, Brazil and Cuba, composing for theatre, film & dance & hosting her own nights in London & Berlin. 

RENU released ‘They Dance in the Dark’ late 2017 to critical acclaim.  Her album has been lionised by The Quietus, Art Forum Magazine (Top 10 album of the year), BBC Radio 6 & BBC Late Junction.

For 20 years  RENU has been studying percussion with Masters from India, Cuba, Spain & Brasil. RENU is a tabla disciple of Sri Chiranjit Mukherjee (senior disciple of Kumar Bose) following the classic way of learning – ‘Guru shisha parampara’ which translates to ‘Master student journey’.

Currently RENU has just released an avant garde, experimental album - ‘The Happening’ aptly released at this time of Covid 19.

Here comes the fourth release by Almería-based electronica artist Mynationshit titled ‘The Tycoon’. This is another addition to the independent label ‘Waste Editions’, run by Mynationshit’s frontman Carlos Martín along with his brother Ale. 

This record highlights Martin’s latest musical touches. Its melancholic undertones juxtaposed with humble romanticism will inspire you. Indubitably, this Spanish artist’s distinguishable nature mixes 
elements of Electro, Dark Wave, Synth-Pop and Post-Punk. 

Picture Johnny Cash and Peter Murphy singing catchy tunes to each other while on a cosmic journey to an unknown planet where synths and prose accompany their melodies.

MARK BOOMBASTIK born 1978 in Hamburg`s notorious "Schanzenviertel"- started doing Human- Beatbox in the age of 12 after his acoustic- guitar broke into pieces because somebody stepped on it during a party at his flat... Improving his technic and style Mark Boombastik became the only experimental human beatboxer. Through the years he`s worked with a lot of different people, from Hamburg`s hip hop scene (Trainingslager,Fischmob) to electronic musicians ( Hofoku Soshi, Funkstrung,Patric Catani) besides doing his own incredible live concerts all over Europe. " Since the whopper got stock in the throats of the Fat Boys in the middle of the 80s,nobody ever created such a thunderstorm of fat beats of all colours with his mouth." Mark Boombastik puts his very raw and tight beats through special analogic effects so that he creates his songs live. His pure intensity is equipped with an attitude that doesn`t leave no doubts . Meanwhile Mark Boombastik lives in Berlin and is recording his album. In July `05 Anaerobic Robots ,his project with Felix Kubin and Jake, released a fabulous mini-album on Gagarin Records ( "Anearobic Robots" ,12"). His teeth are stroboscopes,his lips a million amps,his tongue a billion drum-rolls. Check it out while he is checking in.
