Diese erste Perle von @santiago-jovit habe ich beim Draußen-Rauchen im Schaufenster von @sleeveplusplus entdeckt. Das Cover hat mich geschickt und deswegen wollte ich mal reinhören. Nur Track A2 hat mich komplett abgeholt. Trotzdem habe ich mich erst beim zweiten Sleeve-Besuch durchringen können sie mitzunehmen, weil ich mit meinem Kumpel von @peter_sniffin zusammen reingehört hab. Wir waren uns einig. Nr. 2 von @binarydigit wollte ich schon lange Mal in ein Set einbringen aber habe es dann immer gelassen, weil die Stimmung so unstimmig zu den anderen Platten erschien aber in sich ist sie ultra stimmig und schön melancholisch, idm-ish, sphärisch und mit Happy End. So hab ichs gern.
Gerade ist mir aufgefallen, dass die Platte eigentlich auf 45 läuft und ich sie immer auf 33 höre XD

Fleck E.S.C. returns to Woodwork with a 4-track perpetration of spectacular dark electro bleeding the expected precarious charm, swagger, mystery, and menace. 'Walking Free' chronicles a twisted engagement of nefarious themes masked behind infectious funk and a pervading air of trepidation.

Opening with a psychotic grin, 'B-Love' sets up a dank backdrop of brick and bloodstains, bearing its sharpened teeth and flashing its sonic switchblades, setting a most comfortable mood of panic and constriction.

Easing the pressure slightly wih a malevolent smile, 'Walking Free' blends the best of Fleck's relentless break styles and quirky effects manipulations, fully-loaded with inescapable synth hooks that casually seize and strangle with delicate aggression.

'New Schedule' creeps up from behind, breathing heavy and rubbing itself on thick with stark precision bass hits and minimal chunky beats. From the outset, perpetual tension rises, occasionally releasing its grasp to toy with the victim in a tight, murderous groove.

The EP wraps with 'Unmatched Decay', a disorienting movement that crafts psychogenic disturbances through electro-shock seizures. Infectious low end sludge bounces through it's shattering sonic space, subtly closing in as the bars clang shut.

Jealous Hours is the first full-length LP by the Tel-Aviv based DJ & producer Lily Haz. Featuring nine genre-bending tracks in her distinctive electro-dub style, the project playfully emphasizes & recontextualizes the role of sampling using cinematic references to nineties cult songs & movies.

“I’m a rapper!” says the kid to the cop. “Oh you’re a rapper? Oh, ok… Be cool, stay in school” the cop condescently replies.

Thanks to her unique approach to production, Lily takes us for a tour in her obscure, ethereal universe where hip hop’s supremacy is undisputed. Flirting with the club realm while fearlessly determined in her style, each of one of her core influences is essential to this parallel universe. Out there, pitched-down rap verses top obscure beats and rolling liquid jungle drums ; extended intros and outros riffle through the whole spectrum of human emotion. From anger to the puzzling humoristic dialogues she creates by toying with her own layered vocals or memphis rap samples, one cannot help but let himself dive into this ethereal consciousness outburst.
