Cubism is the label of Mark Gwinnett and Saytek.

Founded in 2007 by Mark and Tony Thomas with a clear vision of releasing quality house and techno, under the careful supervision of Mark and Saytek, the label continues to do just that.

Cubism is supported by a wide spectrum of the world’s finest DJs across the underground and occasionally too the more tuned in commercial artist.

The label has a simple formula and is a labor of love by the Cubism family. An honest platform for underground, rocking, electronic dance-floor grooves and an outlet for the music of Saytek, Mark under his Lunacy Sound Division alias and friends of the label.

The label also hosts the occasional epic showcase most notably at dens such as fabric, Egg, The Source, Cargo, Rhythm Factory and The Shelter in London. The east end has always been a big influence on the sounds released on the imprint.

DJ and Producer - Alex Rebel is a Minimal Tech and house DJ and producer who loves bringing groovy underground cuts and blending them with classic house that will guarantee to get you grooving, pmayi g in venues such as Ministry of Sound, Sushi Samba, and many other venies across London, Alex look forward to what the future has in store for her. 
Having just graduated from pointblank music school, Alex found her sound in underground Minimal Tech music, enjoying combining groovy basslines with groovy percussive elements, and the occasional drop of a fat bassline here and there,  Alex is looking forward to start putting her music out there, and is looking forward to what the future has in store for her

Nelski: Making it Live
Quirky &amp; rare individuality are elements that make up this skilled character. It’s these things that have gained this young artist support across the dance music board, with Carl Cox &amp; deadmau5 as examples of the wide spectrum of talent embracing his idiosyncratic sound.

Summer 2010’s ‘Body Pop’ was Nelski’s first track, showcasing his inventive production habits. Habits that crafted a sound heavily supported across all of Radio 1, with Pete Tong confirming support through crowning ‘Body Pop‘ as the opening track of his 2010 Wonderland compilation album. Alongside copious amounts of chart spots, ‘Body Pop’ went on to be featured on further compilation albums, making his first release a massive success. 

From then on, industry eyes intently focused on his next moves.
Since, Nelski has delivered tracks that prove his consistency as a producer, showcasing his diverse sound &amp; individual method. ‘Colours’ &amp; ‘Minimal Life’ with Chris Lake have pulled in support from dance music giants across the board, with further props coming from deadmau5 who used the track in his 2010 summer sets during his residency on the Mixmag terrace for Cream, Ibiza. And Capital FM recently jumped at the chance to exclusively preview Nelski’s recent June release, ‘Dancing’ on their Weekend Players feature.

Although Nelski's DJing skills have seen him featured in events across the world including Belfast, Portugal, Spain &amp; Brazil, playing with characters like deadmau5, Michael Woods &amp; Eric Prydz, his live shows are widely divergent. Live is where his passion lies. It’s here where his artistry shines through, &amp; where Nelski makes his mark as something that little bit different. Using live vocal, percussion &amp; keyboards his tracks are played at that very moment, making each performance refreshingly unique. Nelski has produced an intricate show that requires skill, demands full attention &amp; confidence to execute.

Nelski’s greatest attribute when it comes to production is his flair for improvisation, which is exactly how he learned to play the keys on blues &amp; jazz scales. As a result, he doesn’t read or recite pieces but constructs his works through pure feeling. Taking influences from his samba background, percussion is an obvious crucial element in the music he creates, using the Korg Wavedrum during live shows to project the sounds that neatly compliment Nelski’s most prominent factor, his voice.

This summer Nelski’s live show is being released for the first time as the Whatever Makes You Happy Tour, showcasing at festivals in Scotland, Greece, Israel &amp; Asia. To commemorate the tour, an EP made up of the Whatever Makes You Happy tour tracks will be released in September 2011 on Rising Music.

Nelski has carefully developed an imaginative sound that’s been crafted into a sharp, interesting &amp; engaging live show, sure to catch the attention of a global audience. His musical ethos of “it's about the here &amp; now” is the perfect foundation for an artist that does just that, delivers in real time for the here &amp; now!

Flair and feeling are at the forefront of Barber’s musical armoury, be it DJing or producing. His expertise in the latter is testament to why his diary is full of studio clientele looking for something a little more… “Mmmm, Yes Bruv!”, and why key industry taste makers are sitting up, taking note, signing and playing his tracks.


His vigorous and entertaining DJ sets are an extension of his impulsive and fun personality, which has enabled him to play in both Berlin and London regularly, including Sisyphos, IPSE, Golden Gate and Egg Club, Fabric, Basing House, Studio 338.


So, other than featuring on ViVA Music: Club Cuts Volume 1, having Darius Syrossian champion his remix of the classic 808 State track, 'Pacific State’, then featured on the coveted 'Balance Series' compilation. Or his Fabric  London Room 1 performance for 'WetYourSelf'… oh, and spearheading the Faceless Recordings label takeover at IPSE, Berlin, and Sisyphos, Berlin. More recently Barber was chosen by the legendary Marshall Jefferson to launch his new label Imprint Frekin'303 with a five track EP called 'Barber and Friends'

All the while he’s working tirelessly on the label he co-founded with long time friend — respected DJ/producer, Silky — Faceless Recordings. Together they are the driving force behind this quality-not-quantity driven underground house and techno label and are preparing for an even bigger 2017.


With a growing array of original and remix works that impressively count ViVA Music, Suara, Elrow, Columbia, Flashmob, Freakin 303, Slave, Cubism, Fetch, Onit, Zulu, Seamless, State Of The Eye, Twisted Fusion, Blackwiz, OFF, Phonetic, Go Deeva, Nervous, Motek, Cr2, and Faceless Recordings as release carriers, expect to hear a whole lot more Barber audio online and in your favourite discoteque.
