Omotesenke (表千家) tea ceremony's student

Matteo Tundo is an Italian composer of acoustic and electroacoustic music. His compositional research focuses on the perception and cognition of sound events, investigating the neural mechanisms underlying the signification of sound. His work centers on the integration of neuroaesthetics into musical composition, employing innovative technologies to enhance the listener’s perceptual engagement and sensory experience.
After his initial guitar studies, he devoted himself entirely to composition and new technologies, studying at the conservatories of Florence, Parma, and Lugano, and at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. He studied composition with Ivan Fedele, Giorgio Colombo Taccani, Javier Torres Maldonado, and Nadir Vassena, and electronic music with Marco Ligabue, Alfonso Belfiore and Michelangelo Lupone. He also attended specialized courses with Salvatore Sciarrino, Yan Maresz, Beat Furrer, Franck Bedrossian, Marco Stroppa, Mark Andre and others. 
In 2024 he was composer in residence for the Divertimento Ensemble. In the same year, together with guitarist Pierpaolo Dinapoli, he founded the h[t] DUO, a guitar and live electronics duo, for which he is active as an electroacoustic performer
His compositions have been performed in Italy, Germany, England, Portugal, France, Spain, Greece, Switzerland, Austria, United States, Iran, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, and Australia. He has participated as composer in international festivals.
He teaches computer music at the Conservatory of Brescia, Italy. Sound Story Creator

 Hoyong Lee (b.Seoul, South Korea) is a composer, sound artist and writer.  He received his MM in electroacoustic and instrumental music composition from Hanyang University. Prior to that, he studied Korean Languages & Literature with Culture Contents at the same institution (BA 2010).

He was an Award of Distinction Winner in the Matera Intermedia Festival (MA/IN Festival 2016, Italy) and the 1st Prize of Best Music Winner in the 2nd X-Ray FM 'Radio Is Yours' Storytellig Contest (Portland, USA 2017), the Silver Prize Winner in Max Bruch International Music Competition 2025 for original composition. He was also nominated in Prix Luigi Russolo Awards 2025 in Italy as a shortlisted composer. 

 As an experimental soundstoryteller, his pieces are mostly based on the creative narrative structure blurring boundaries between noise, pitch and various tones of sounds under natural / electroacoustic environment. Also, he has explored various ways of storytelling techniques on media platforms. His creative sonic works span acousmatic, electroacoustic, radio art, experimental soundscape and acoustic (classical & contemporary) music.

 His pieces have been selected and presented in numerous world-renowned music festivals and international conference such as International Computer Music Conference (Ljubljana 2012, Perth 2013, Athens 2014, Texas 2015), International Sound Art Festival in Berlin(2012), San Francisco Sweet Thunder Music Festival(2014), Hwaum Chamber Orchestra 'The Manual Project'(commissioned by Hwaum Incorporated Association,South Korea, 2014), SMC (Athens 2014), ISSTC (Maynooth, Ireland 2014), MA/IN Festival (Matera, Italy in 2016), NYCEMF (USA in 2015, 2017), NWEAMO (Tokyo & San Diego USA in 2016, 2017), Vox Novus 60x60 project (Voice mix, Pianoforte Mix, Wave Farm Mix, Pacific Rim mix, Louisiana dance mix in 2012~2015) and Fifteen Minutes of Fame (2024~2025), The 2nd X-Ray FM Radio Is Yours Contest (Portland, USA 2016), ’Acoustic Frontiers’ CKCU FM 93.1 Broadcasting (Canada, 2021).

 Executing diverse intermedia projects, he published his autobiography book "소리, 세상을 담다(Sound, the World)" and he collaborated with Gwangju National Science Museum in Art-Science Festival as a composer and contents planner. His creative art world was introduced in ’Acoustic Frontiers’ CKCU FM 93.1 Broadcasting (Ottawa,Canada) and KBS 1 Radio (97.3MHz, Seoul) interview programs. Currently he is working as a project manager in Lee Consulting which offers creative planning and interdisciplinary ideas encompassing humanities, arts, and science and technology.

Daniele Vulpiani was born in Rome in 1989.
Brutalism, architecture, and Marxist theory permeate his whole work and research, together with a strong belief that “art for art’s sake” is a misguided concept. 

Much like most avant-garde theorists of the post-war era, Daniele sees composition as a form of class-conscious action. Following Gramsci’s notion of the “organic intellectual”, he believes that creative practice can indeed manifest the working class’ struggle, challenging capitalist and imperialist ideologies, which are now more than ever ingrained in academic, artistic, and political institutions.
With this in mind, music becomes a vehicle for expressing commitment and resistance, as well as a means to fight inaction, alienation and social divide. Daniele’s work thus aims to broaden the possibilities of music, using it as a platform for engagement and transformation.

Daniele studied composition with Marialuisa Balza at PIMS in Rome and with Daniele Bravi at “U. Giordano” Conservatoire in Foggia. He also graduated in philosophy at “Roma Tre” University. He then studied at “Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia” (Rome) with Ivan Fedele (composition) and Michelangelo Lupone (electronic music). During his studies, he was also mentored by Stefano Gervasoni, Eero Hämeenniemi, Mauro Lanza, Marco Stroppa and Francesca Verunelli.

Among some of the remarkable ensembles and soloists that have performed his music are Quatuor Diotima, Concrète [Lab] Ensemble, Blow Up Percussion, Kuopio Symphony Orchestra's Brass, Echéa Quartet, Quartetto Sincronie, Arrigoni String Orchestra and Ensemble Novecento conducted by Pasquale Corrado, h[t] DUO, Duo Dubois, pianists Anna D'Errico and Maurizio Paciariello, harpsichordist Davide Cicconi, euphonist Marina Boselli, cellist Helena Švigelj, saxophonist Alberto Napolitano and flutists Keiko Murakami, Renata Guzik and Iwona Glinka.
His music is published by Stradivarius Edizioni (Milan) and Da Vinci Publishing (Osaka).

He teaches composition at "L. Canepa" Conservatoire in Sassari (Italy).

A composer and sound artist, Christophe Guiraud is dedicated to the realms of contemporary music and sound art. His primary goal is to delve into the crossroads of electronic, generative, and written music.

Ars Subtilior and Noise music serve as the dual muses for Christophe Guiraud, akin to two rivers seamlessly woven into a composition of profound strength. The French composer acts as a bridge, connecting the pinnacle of scholarly music with the avant-garde aspects of noise. 

Born in Toulouse in the mid-seventies, he later establishes himself in Brussels, transforming it into the nexus of his continuous creative journey. Presently, he is actively engaged and has collaborated for several years with a multitude of European ensembles and musicians, including Ensemble 21, Ictus Ensemble, PHØNIX16 collective, Tom Pauwels, Arçon de Nièze, Benjamin Glorieux, Nemø ensemble, among others.

His latest compositions delicately blend instrumental timbre and sound hybridization, shrouding this alchemy in a certain secrecy. Here, more than anywhere else, Christophe Guiraud's recent works initiate a dialogue across eras, traversing from the polyphony of Ars Nova to Spectralism, all the while incorporating his noise heritage. Firmly unbound by historical constraints, the concluding pieces presented here unfold in a quivering stasis. The ensemble of these pieces brings coherence across a diverse array of musicians hailing from various places, traditions, and ensembles—everything intricately interwoven towards a particularly striking culmination.
