Born into a mid 80s cultural landscape suffused with the gentle angst of 'The Breakfast Club', Clarian grew up in Montreal and began recording and composing as a teenager when suburban kids were falling asleep to Radiohead's 'The Bends'. With this musical heritage Clarian formed his musical being in his early and late teens. His style went down particularly well with renowned labels like Visionquest and Life And Death.

Taking us on a journey through psychedelic tribal disco that doesn't sound out of place in a steamy rain forest or on desert plains, their unique style has led them to curate the Dogon Village area at Festival No.6; where the thick tangled woods and trippy jungle sounds add to the ethereal atmosphere they create. Jon Da Silva is one of the original free-spirited Balearic DJs, and also a resident DJ at the infamous Hacienda club in Manchester in the late 1980s – one of the most important clubs in the history of dance culture. During this time, he mentored a certain DJ who had started calling himself Sasha before himself becoming a producer and remixer of some repute.

This Friday (21st June) Jon, now living in Sweden, is flying over for a Hacienda reunion, taking place at The Coronet in London. At the event, Peter Hook & The Light will perform a 'New Order Electronic Set' and 808 State will also play live.

The DJ line-up features many notable spinners from the Hacienda era, with Mike Pickering, Graeme Park, Jon Da Silva, Justin Robertson, K-Klass and Allister Whitehead joined by London's Danny Rampling for “a special midsummer event which recreates the spirit and unique atmosphere of The Hacienda”.

Matt Walsh’s inter­est in DJing and pro­duc­tion was fos­tered in the late 1990′s, while he was at uni­ver­si­ty and pro­gres­sive house was at its peak. Fast-for­ward a cou­ple of years, a new decade her­ald­ed the birth of Elec­tro­clash and with it DJ Hell’s Gigo­lo Records, City Rock­ers and Play­house. As Matt began to devel­op his trade­mark sound of mod­ern dis­co-infused elec­tron­ic house and tech­no, an offer of a res­i­den­cy at East London’s sem­i­nal T‑Bar club set off a chain of events that would lead to Tur­bo Record­ings don Tiga spot­ting him there in 2007. He then became a long term res­i­dent of Bugged Out! and Tur­bo and has since toured the globe alone and with oth­er artists.

Matt’s record label, Cloud­ed Vision Record­ings has seen releas­es from tal­ent from all cor­ners, includ­ing Red Axes, long term friend Daniel Avery and many more. His two mixed com­pi­la­tions “The Cloud­ed Vision Exper­i­ment” received crit­i­cal acclaim from Mix­mag, GQ and DJ Mag.

Since relo­cat­ing to Mar­gate in 2017, Matt has been busy opening The Tap Room and has trans­formed one of Margate’s secret spots into a boom­ing small bar, where you can expect to see local and trav­el­ling DJs play­ing every week, as well as a great mix of cock­tails and craft beer.



In 2023 Matt reignited his old clubnight "Movement" which was originally formed with Daniel Avery back in 2011. The new version is held quarterly at Faith In Strangers, Margate and the first three sold out parties have seen Erol Alkan, Daniel Avery , Optimo and Richard Fearless join Matt on the decks for the night. August will welcome Manfredas to Margate for the first time and some very exciting collaborations are to follow in 2025.
