A true music aficionado and devotee of the Australian scene, Simon Murphy strives to find the perfect tunes to capture the mood and his passion is reflected in every set. Adaptability is one of his greatest accomplishments with an intricate musical knowledge that sees him complement the vibe of every event whilst stamping his own trademark energy and sound wherever he plays. Turning heads and captivating dancefloors for close to a decade, Murphy has cemented his place in the hearts and minds of Australia's dancefloor warriors and global listeners.

Having been heavily involved with the thriving Melbourne techno scene for many years, it took a while for this self confessed music addict turned vinyl junkie to find his calling behind the decks. Influenced by a solid foundation of techno, a love of all things melodic and a passion for outdoor bush festivals and psychedelia, Simon’s fascination with a wide array of sounds has helped spawn a deep understanding of the music and scene which he loves. Through focusing his passion for raw underground sounds on his DJ sets, Simon Murphy has spent the better part of the last decade turning more than a few heads playing an eclectic blend of musical madness from his favourite producers from across the globe. 

Delving into a forever growing collection of tunes, Simon Murphy does not restrict himself to any one sound, spinning anything from electronica to deep house & tech house, techno & progressive to the harder edged sounds best enjoyed on a dusty dancefloor and everything in between. With a borderline obsession for music, a collection that would rival a record store and OCD tendancies when it comes to finding the right sound for every set, Simon Murphy fully commits himself to his craft and delivers his passion via his music for all to share.

Crafting his own unique sound through his residencies and guest spots, Simon Murphy has had a chance to refine his skills whilst playing alongside some of the best talent that Australia, and the world has to offer. His seamless mixing and contagious energy behind the decks have seen him invited to play at some of Australia’s finest venues, festivals and events. Simon’s versatility stands out amongst the crowd with his incredible ability to adapt his sound for any crowd or occasion and he has proven time and time again that his electrifying audio artillery can captivate any audience. With a deep seeded respect and understanding for his music he has earned a solid reputation among promoters and punters alike. This reputation and following has led to a number of global broadcasts and podcasts on that have received high praise and earned him a dedicated fan base around the world.

Originally from France, Max started DJing in Paris which was his home before moving to Melbourne in 2003. 
Co-Owner/Manager of renowned Melbourne record store Alley Tunes, MAXVEGAS is totally immersed into music. Veteran of the DJ circuit, Max is well remembered for his long-term Saturday night residency at the very iconic now defunct St. Jerome's where he was delivering a 5 hours set on a weekly basis for 5 years until it closed down. Over his 20 years in Melbourne Max has been holding many residencies as well as guest spots in many bars, Clubs, Warehouse Parties and Festivals like Rainbow Serpent, Earthcore, Maitreya, Strawberry Fields, Yemaya, Big Day Out, Kiss My Grass, Stereosonic New Caledonia.
His love for the groove led him to collect a wide range of music on vinyl. 
Techno, House, Funk, Disco, Boogie, AfroBeat, Jazz, Dub, Reggae, Trip-hop, Hip-Hop spanning all eras from the 70's to today's most sophisticated sounds.
No matter what he plays on the day it will always be about the journey for listeners and dancers.
Like in the old school DJ tradition his sets are orchestrated winding through space and time with unlimited dynamic range crafting moods and feelings.
Max has been running his events ''MUSIC AS LIFE'' where he invites locals and international Dj's and Musicians that design their lives around music.

For almost 20 years, James Steer has consistently and unassumingly contributed to the after-hours soundtrack of Melbourne. Well respected within the underground Melbourne DJ community, James has built a reputation as a selector who deftly balances exquisite taste with technical execution. James cut his teeth as one of the founders of the legendary Deep Chord Melbourne parties in the early noughties, showcasing the emerging deep minimal sounds of the time to an eager and receptive audience. The party started off as an intimate affair in the confines of the upstairs space of Pony Bar (later Boney), before finding a true home in the legendary basement space of the Mercat Cross. Since then, James has regularly graced the decks at some of Melbourne’s most iconic nightspots, equally adept at delivering funk and disco laden suppertime soundtracks as heaving excursions into deep dance floor dynamics. Drawing from a vast, genre-defying collection, James’ sets offer the listener/dancer a guided tour through the fundamentals of depth, always evolving and never stagnant, a glimpse into the now, with a respectful nod to what’s come before.

Dart Echo continues to explore sounds emerging from circuitry, orchestrated in pure or hybrid forms by genius, and always affecting people, whether alone or with others, viscerally, cerebrally or both. Recalling analogue sound’s definition, our releases are infinitely variable in nature.

Tristan Kino (Qommon, Final Frontier, FR):

Tristan Kino has been a pivotal figure in Asia's underground music scene for the past decade. He's organized events like Final Frontier and Qommon, bringing artists such as Priori, Sansibar, Ciel, Diskonnected, Roza Terenzi, and more to Bangkok. After a two-year stint in Melbourne, where he held residencies at Lounge, Revolver, and Glamorama, Tristan honed his DJ skills and drew inspiration from the Australian music scene. 

With recent releases on Unst and Short Black Records, featuring a remix by Johannes Volk, Tristan has firmly established himself as a producer. His signature style blends elements of acid, trance, drummy, breaky house, and techno.

Regularly performing at Bangkok's prominent venues, including Never Normal, BEAM, Safe Room, 12x12, Glow, and De Commune. His music has taken him to exciting venues and festivals across Asia: The Observatory, Savage, TAG Chengdu, Singapore's Headquarters, Wonderfruit Festival, QIAO.Asia Festival, Studio Adventure, and more.
