I tried a lot of new things during the production of In Motion 2 and when you try new things, there’s always the risk that your reach may exceed your grasp. I took a lot of risks during the mixing process. Some of which worked and some didn’t. But ultimately, that’s how we learn. By f**king up and trying again.

Which is exactly what I’ve been doing ever since; trying again.

Weighing up the pros and cons, appreciating the victories and learning from the mistakes. I had a lot of fun working on this one. It gave me a lift and reminded me why I started writing music all those years ago. Forget the promo, the perception, the labels, the numbers, the digits, the scheduling, the politics, the self doubt, the he said, she said. Focusing on potential backlash before a project even drops. 

I wrote a track, I made some terrible homemade cover art to go with it and I couldn't be happier! ✌️❤️

Hope your 2021 has been good so far!

This year I'd like to focus on building my relationships in the gaming business further and just make some cool music!
I've decided to change up my release schedule from albums/eps to more of a single approach. Essentially I'll try to release music more frequently but only 1-2 songs at a time.

Latibule started out as just a chord idea but it quickly developed into this atmospheric non drums piece. 
I mainly kept it that way (but you'll hear when you're actually listening to it haha).
The next song will release early next month!

Sean Harte (Known by his stage name Memorex Memories) is a Scottish Electronic Musician. The pseudonym derived from his self proclaimed “obsession” with cassette tapes as a child. 

Pre-2017 Harte released music independently under the alias Mr Sunshine. His first E.P Climbing Green Hill was released via Big Wave Records in 2015. “I liked Mr Sunshine initially. But the more I thought about that name, the more it began to sound like a roaming, mobile sex offender operating out of an Ice Cream Van” Harte said in an interview on the Vlad Bresnix Podcast. 

In 2017 Memorex Memories released It’s Very Sunny via the YouTube Channel Electronic Gems. This would be the first of many singles released on the platform over the next few years. Tracks like Curious Alice, Thanks For Listening and A Way Home would all debut on the channel over the course of 2018. In 2019 Memorex Memories released In Motion. A 6 track mini EP via indie label The Midwest Collective. This would later be followed by his first Full Length LP Pictures of Purple Skies in September of that year. This release would mark the beginning of his association with the California based record label Stratford Ct. through which he would release his second album The Life Of Riley in May 2020.


Boards Of Canada, Flying Lotus,J Dilla, Com Truise, Air, Washed Out & Tycho are just some of the names Harte has listed as his many influences over the years. 

“Around this time, my friend introduced me to Brian Eno, Aphex Twin and Boards of Canada and the rest is history. Up until that point, I never knew music like that existed. I remember hearing “In A Beautiful Place Out In The Country” and just balling my eyes out. It felt as tho someone had somehow captured the sounds in my head and put it on tape. I remember openly saying, “That’s it! That’s what I want to do!”
