Je continuais de me balader avec mon chapeau léopard, mon sac-peluche, mon ensemble à ﬂeurs, et puis j’ai senti dans le regard des autres que je n’avais plus l’âge pour le faire. Je suis pourtant la même qu’à mes 16 ans, c’est les autres que je vois changer » 
 On ne peut mieux décrire ce qu’est le vieillissement, sinon dans cet écart qui nait et ne cesse de croître, entre réalité physique et image spéculaire de soi : L’une s’abîme avec le temps, exposée aux lois cruelles de la pesanteur et de l’oxydation, l’autre, ne vieillit pas, reste intacte et vierge de toute altération, ﬁgée à un moment où l’on se sentait bien. Plus le temps passe, plus l’écart qui se creuse devient monde. Il peut en devenir si douloureux que beaucoup cherchent à y échapper, usant et abusant de tous les artiﬁces. 
 Youth looks so good on you est une balade sonore explorant avec étrangeté le monde intérmédiaire qui se trouve entre réalité et fanstame de soi, un monde où le culte esthétique de la jeunesse se fait le souverain du peuple.

Naomie Klaus est une productrice de musique et chanteuse française, basée à Bruxelles. Se considérant comme une actrice ratée, elle construit sa musique sous forme d’histoires et de micro-séquences dans lesquelles elle s’amuse à interpréter différents personnages avec sa voix. Elle évoque un conte de fées pour adultes, où les princesses que l’on rencontre sont des nymphomanes hystériques, armées et mal habillées.

"waterlilies in fontiform" [framework editions, 2023] 🪷

Thought as a continuation of the work "for scarpa's fountains” [forms of minutiae, 2020], the composition "waterlilies in fontiform" weaves field recordings made in, on, and around the Tomba Brion in San Vito d'Altivole. Designed by the Venetian architect Carlo Scarpa in the 70s, this burial ground materializes as a garden guided by a multitude of lines made of concrete, metal, marble, and glass. Yet as one wanders in this peculiar landscape, one soon realizes that concrete isn’t the tomb’s primary material, water is. As if submerged, the graves are encircled by basins interconnected by a network of fountains, rivulets, and pipes. Water striders, sporadic frogs, vibrant fish and tapestries of waterlilies glide over sunken pyramidal stepped edges, echoing ruins of bygone architectures. An aqueous rhizome at the heart of the garden which steers us through the whole sanctuary. The composition brings listeners into the various materialities of the space and the underwater hums of the fontiform network's machinery. Moreover, subtle algae photosynthesis, muffled voices of human visitors, and the garden's avian inhabitants infuse with life the architect's carefully organized matter. Ambiguous feelings arise as if perched in equilibrium on the crests of the tomb's multifarious structures. The piece ends with openings (both geographical and temporal) as the uncanny murmurs of the flowing waters are joined by the drones of another (temporary) Venetian fountain, Claire Tabouret's sculpture "Deux Baigneuses'', before fading into the vespertine soundscape of a small Portuguese village. A midwife toad calls in the darkness, bells resound in a valley, as Brion Tomb’s architectonic specter lingers in the flowing waters.

> Note: Tomba Brion is also the resting place of Scarpa himself, who shared that "the place for the dead is a garden".

"The material for the album was created in 2022, the first year of the full-scale military aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, and this greatly influenced the sound and style of the release. Field recordings and sound effects of drones, power generators, and armored vehicles are mixed with wide pads and slow guitar passages, sometimes dark and mystical, filled with noise inserts, and sometimes dreamy and hopeful. The record is completely imbued with a cocktail of moods of these times - uncertainty, a sense of stopped time, as well as nostalgia for a carefree past."

Both originating from Basel Switzerland, experimental dance outlets Amenthia Recordings and A Walking Contradiction combine forces and present their first collaborative release. Both known for their dare-to-do-different approach and proudly presenting sounds that come from their inner circle of friends they compiled the Flash Crash / Hack Crash EP with exactly this mindset. From Agonis' heavy stepper to Konduku's whirlpool of low frequencies on the Amenthia side with Lemont continuing on this same low-end tripped-out tip to the slo-mo swamp sounds from Varuna representing A Walking Contradiction in typical fashion.
