We are delighted to welcome Berlin based Cecelia Tosh (@cecilia_berlin), German/Mozambican artist and entrepreneur. She is Co-Founder of the agency CURA Berlin. 

Cecilia is co-curator of “New Faces” at Tresor Berlin and is known for her multifaceted journeys at Berghain or HÖR. Her sets have a constant groove, are deep, trippy and yet very colorful. She can be seen at various festival stages this Summer and her first Canada tour is coming up in September. 

Cecilia initiated and curated the exhibition and album Kotti Island Disc (Released on Tresor Records in May 23). Where she releases her new track next to .VRIL, Jon Hester, Ray Kaijoka, Philipp Gorbachev and more.

For our latest Bleep Mix instalment, Sandwell District come through with a hefty programming of dark rollers fulfilling that promise of reinvigorated purpose they mentioned before: “Having a good time”. And with a wealth of exclusive unheard material it’s hard to refute the mission statement. Dropping straight into the cavernous environs of an unreleased Regis side Frosty Jack’s, the selection rides a restrained line building tension through a number of Nastia Reigel tracks deployed with utmost precision before upping its stride with Luke Slater’s Planetary Assault Systems and quickly landing first peak from The Wizard himself, with Jeff Mills' slamming ‘93 cut Step to Enchantment (Stringent). Taking in a track from their comrade Surgeon’s forthcoming album, as well as the simmering acid of their own tune Hidden, Sandwell District bring it back round full circle via two further unreleased reworks of heroes Meat Beat Manifesto providing a breakbeat singed rupture to close out the proceedings with the vocal snatches of MBM’s Helter Skelter summing it all up really: “It's in my brain now. This is it!”

For this edition, Dutch producer and sonic explorer Nadia Struiwigh delivers an envelope-pushing session, weaving through acidity, hardcore sonics, and introspective rhythms. Her hour-long set unfolds with resolute strength, weaving amens and mentasms into a hallucinatory rave world.
Observatory resident Fran Domingo takes over for the second hour, navigating a refined path through deep, propulsive broken beats, and into the cross-point of techno and dubstep.

Observatory 106 – Sungate [with Nadia Struiwigh & Hakk]

Throughout the years, Detroit-born Berlin-based groove operator and Tresor / Globus resident Eric Cloutier has been honing and refining his palette as both a producer and a DJ. Not one to engage in dogmatic restraint, Cloutier keeps developing his vision through carefully curated selections and an equally impeccable mixing technique. Boasting the variety and precision of his releases for his own imprint Palinoia, the present mix was recorded live at The Chinese Laundry in Sydney last year. Playing the main room open-to-close, Cloutier put together this mix as an evolving story and, much like the crowd of that night which proved highly receptive to the narrative, we hope this one will resonate with you. A most exquisitely complex and deep-diving plunge into Cloutier’s shape-shifting headspace, alternating heavyweight punch and dubbed-out minimalism with swashes of textured membranes and faux-organic, modular-like intricacies, this mix is as elusively impossible to pigeonhole as it proves sophisticated in its design.

Born and raised in the industrial suburbs of Turin, Stenny earned recognition in the last decade as both an accomplished producer and DJ. Exploring club culture and sound art, his journey has been one of constant research and reinvention, avoiding trends and the demands of contemporary music consumption while embracing the slower and more deliberate nature of his craft. 

Stenny’s work traverses the full electronic music landscape. Whether embracing new narrative structures and compositional experiments or consolidating the immediacy of a dancefloor-oriented project, each release marks a point of departure. Familiar yet constantly shifting, his sonic language remains identifiable within the experimental techno spectrum but expands beyond genre boundaries. 

Currently based in Munich, Stenny is an Ilian Tape affiliate and a Blitz Club resident. His artistic expression consists mostly of DJ sets and live performances. Fearless in his approach, he ventures through his broad range of musical influences with spontaneity and control, committed to creating an ever-unique and immersive experience.

Ben Kaczor's singular sound bridges a wide emotional spectrum, blending influences of techno, deep house and dub techno into a minimal, straightforward and vulnerable aesthetic. The swiss DJ, producer and curator joined Dial Records in 2023 and co-founded St. Odes, a label dedicated to deep house, dub techno and multidisciplinary art. Across all his projects, Kaczor consistently returns to his core pursuit: creating something that's meant to be felt, not deconstructed.
