"MOMENTS IN TIME"

Producing music has always been a therapeutic process for me. It's one of the only things in my life that I can sit down for hours at a time, completely focus, and reach a state of tranquility. Over the last few years whenever I have been experiencing an emotional state, the genre of what I describe as "lush 85" has been there to serve as an outlet to express the turmoil I'd been experiencing. Directing this energy into music has been extremely powerful. By expressing our emotions through the arts we can transform our trauma into something extraordinary. If we don't acknowledge our emotions and find healthy ways to process them we miss an amazing opportunity to evolve and align with our higher self. 

Although these tracks represent the darker times in the last two years, the EP as a whole carries a sense of hope and wonder. While working on this type of music I often questioned why during such dark times I always found myself lifting up towards the light vs remaining in darkness. I think this is because I've always felt that every dark moment has something to teach us. Either we can let these moments consume us or we let them guide us to our inner truths to reveal our true selves. 

The dark soundscapes of dubstep and halftime are very important to me and will always have a place in my musical expression but they are an intended action with intention. My intention when writing this music in particular, is not to fight the darkness with more darkness but to shine a light and open myself the unknown. Music can act as a daily journal, allowing you to get your thoughts out of your head and onto paper for mental clarity and understanding.   

Most of my releases are a collection of tracks meant for DJs and big soundsystems. This release is much more personal. I hope you enjoy listening to it start to finish as it carries you through a "Moment In Time" - Inspired by the likes Margari's Kid, Stray, Kid Drama, Amit, Hidden Turn, Om Unit, Tycho and Synkro, it blends various sounds, influences and my own various styles into what I believe to be my most coherent work to date. 

This release marks the end of a big chapter in my life. It serves as a reminder to everything that I have experienced, an anthology to honor my past with gratitude and to move forward. The music and growth I have experienced are a gift. I now graciously share this gift with you.

4Lyfe EP

Satl - Yin

Next up on the Incurzion Audio release schedule is a massive 4 track EP from Rantik. For those that don't know, Rantik is a seriously talented up-and-coming producer from Newcastle with a strictly deep and technical focus to his productions. "Persona EP" is his latest masterpiece and is a true reflection of his diversity as a producer and the uncompromising quality he strives for.

"Fragment", a fast-paced technical track with continual vocal stabs maintaining the energy, and a drum roll which is unforgiving and really pushes the track forward. Don't be fooled however, the track is not strictly one dimensional as Rantik mixes it up completely on he second drop.

Up next is "Blood Loss" is deep and soulful with a lyrical element perfectly complimenting to the progressive synth heavy sound pervasive throughout the track. Extremely refined, we start strong and it's only up from here.

In contrast to the rest of the EP, "Phase One", a murderous and unapologetic monster of a tune with deep bellowing growls and a sound system testing bass line, overlain with powerful drums and many interesting sound design elements. This EP truly has it all.

To close the EP is "Mirrors" is a much more relaxed number that takes you on an emotional journey. Perfectly crafted, this track is a major compliment to the rest of the release and brings in another dimension that completes the EP.
