We are excited to introduce the fifth solo album on our platform by Lithuanian producer @Shaknis, titled Neturi Vietos. Shaknis is a highly talented producer, mixing and mastering nerd, analog gear collector, Eurorack synth builder, and all-around genuine lad. His new album showcases a blend of pure electro with elements of breakbeat. Be sure to grab a cassette, and inside the J-card, you’ll find a picture of the synths he used to create this album. The release date is set for September 20th, available on both tape and digital formats.

A statement? Or self-reflection? Energetic moments of introspection, reflecting inability to fit in to a predefined reality. Shaknis (:/root) comes from a realm where genres blur and expectations dissolve, refusing to conform to any single style or category. Today on Meta Moto premieres, Dalmata Daniel releases its third LP, Midnight Dancer, from Rapha, marking his return to the label after previous appearances in split and compilation series. Known for his intense acid sounds and dark, futuristic edge, Rapha elevates his craft in Midnight Dancer, featuring remixes by CT Kidobó and PRZ.

The title track, Midnight Dancer, delves into a hypnotic landscape of haunting echoes and distorted rhythms, with heavy basslines reverberating through deep, shadowy realms. PRZ’s remix preserves the track’s groove while adding a sleek, club-ready electro finish. Rapha’s masterful fusion of industrial grit and cosmic melodies shines through, delivering electro that’s perfect for both club settings and immersive listening. MM PREMIERE 069 | Rapha - Midnight Dancer [Dalmata Daniel]

Bordello A Parigi is delighted to announce the return of Ichisan to the label. The Slovenian producer draws on the soul of house, the clean lines of electro and smoky grooves of disco for Saturnus. Full-bodied percussion lays a path for curves of keyboard to mingle with throaty basslines, cosmic constellations blooming and bursting in this nine-minute odyssey. Off-kilter keys steady themselves into solid strings for “Rodeo Disko”, bubbles of funk rising to the surface as distant vocoders echo to the distance. An appreciation of the meandering melodies of the late 1970s permeates the three offerings. Percussive patterns shift with “Fujirama”. Droplets of drums gather to a racing rhythm, a spiralling synthline speeds while a thick dauby bass calms the tempo. This close is emblematic of the entire EP, clever and upbeat with an underlying intricacy that illustrates Ichisan’s evolution as an artist. A welcome return from a wonderful talent.

FEINSTOFF PREMIERE: Ichisan - Saturnus [BORDELLO A PARIGI]

Alongside his solo work, he is also known for his collaborative project Future City Punks with Traxion, showcasing his post-punk abilities. Unconfined to singular genres, Sam In Space will take you out of this world and back to earth through his exploration of music.

‘Dualities’ is an unsuspecting track; starting as a seemingly normal electro-disco song, the mood shifts to reveal a split narrative. With a steady beat and an ominous synth, it is the voice of a woman that guides you through the unknown. She declares, “If you are the sun, I am the stars”, pushing the listener into the cosmic order.

While we may not understand how the universe works, there is a silent curator who keeps it in balance. After picking your brain with ‘Dualities’, Sam In Space asks you to look further within. ‘Introspection’ is an ominous track that dissects the mind, with the distorted robot voice inducing a sense of sci-fi anxiety. You live your everyday life in a heightened sense of awareness; this track forces you to step back for a moment of reflection.

MIND, BODY, CONTROL

‘Descendant’ drags us back into a more tribal state. Returning to a more primitive sound, we hear the banging of drums and the sounds of the jungle over the menacing synths. The evolution of humanity is about “MIND, BODY, SOUL”. Music has always been used to show this progression, yet Sam In Space reveals the cyclical nature of time. No matter how far the world progresses, it is the raw sounds of the world that will continue to inspire us.

Rolling off the back of this EP are remixes by Max Jones, Rigopolar, and BadWolf. Max Jones takes on ‘Dualities’ by having the female vocalist act as a curator of the night. Her voice fades into the drums, luring you into the song. The synths feel like strobe lights, with the music rolling directly into the back of your head. ‘Introspection’ takes on a new perspective as Rigopolar taps into the minds of dystopian antagonists.

Motions of a classic club track

With the repetition of the robot voices and the steady beat, you walk amongst an army of robot terrorists while Rigopolar’s remix plays through the speakers. Rounding off the last remix for ‘Descendant’ is BadWolf, ending the EP on a strong dance note. In keeping with the primitiveness of the track, BadWolf makes you want to move like an animal. Taking you through false drops and changing beats, it embodies the motions of a classic club track.

The ‘Dualities’ EP will be released via Rigopolar’s Miami-based Tour De Infinite on all platforms on November 15th, 2024.

French artist Bubs joins the Feinstoff roster with a fresh two-track release that taps into the best of Neo Italo, perfectly balancing retro flair with a fresh, modern edge.

The first track “Bubble Tea” llays down a punchy beat that slides into a catchy square-wave lead and juicy bassline, building up to a drop that's all about getting the floor moving. With ‘80s synth textures and a nod to ‘90s movements, it's nostalgic without losing that forward momentum.

The second track “Regalade”  takes things deeper, dialling up an arpeggiated rolling bassline. Expect lush polysynth stabs, dreamy pads, and booming snares that add a hint of drama. It's got a disco soul with just the right amount of grit—contemporary nostalgia at its finest.

"Appeal” is an autobiographical track that recounts the harrowing story of my (VALANAÏS’) grandparents during the bombings of Berlin in 1945 wherein, following an evacuation to the countryside, Grandmother gave birth to Father whilst Grandfather was a prisoner of war. Analogies are drawn between the smoke and the atmosphere of Berlin’s destruction and the lights in the misty night of the Berlin countryside.

In the album, the artist explores themes of personal development, becoming, and the never-ending process of change within oneself. Stylistically, the album revolves around the influences of dance-floor oriented genres, creating a unique clash of musical styles and a musically dynamic soundscape.

For this new full-length output, Gil.Barte delivers on Teenage Menopause an 8 tracks LP full of formal strength and psychedelic grandeur. Today on Meta Moto Premieres we have a label from Dundee, UK with the latest release by The Spy - 'Spiral'. This record feels like it was inevitable with previous releases from The Spy on the label's compilations dating back to 2021. Wessel is an artist Hilltown Disco has spent a long time admiring who fits the ethos perfectly.

5 synth-driven, emotive electro tracks (plus 2 digital bonuses), written and produced in the Netherlands with a new take on ‘Evil Wins’ by Berlin based electro don, Privacy. Will be released on wax on 30th of June 2025.
